Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast choices. Highly recommend!
We stayed here on São João to be near the marina for a boat trip. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were friendly.
Quiet hotel on the Gaia side, was very comfortable and only a few uber ride minutes away from all the main attractions and food. Conveniently located and friendly staff.
Mercure Porto Gaia Hotel is a gem for business travelers! Impeccable service, comfortable rooms, and excellent amenities make work trips a breeze. Convenient location with great dining options seals the deal. Highly recommended
Staff was very helpful. Clean, modern hotel with very good breakfast. Nice lobby conversational area. Will likely need short Uber or taxi ride to get to tourist and Porto historic areas. Not in the historic center. Access to mall shopping next door.
The room was clean but had a good hearing. The breakfast was very good! The Lobby is nice and invites to linger. The place of the Hotel is not so good for visiting the Center of Gaia or Porto. You need a car or Uber
The hotel is nice enough and the staff was lovely. But it didn’t feel like a great value for the location. It’s basically in the parking lot of a giant shopping mall if that appeals to you. It does not appeal to me. You need to take a bus or drive to all the touristy bits in Porto.

We got a great deal, particularly for the location and time. The hotel lobby looks great and overall the facilities are great. The room was disappointing, as the bathroom area clearly suffered water damage which doesn't seem to have been repaired and leaves the room with an awful look. Room cleanliness on arrival was also not great, but was good the 2nd day of our stay.
We stayed one night while in Porto and it was a very pleasant stay. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and spacious. Our only issue was that it was hard to find because there is no front entrance off the street like most hotels and only small signage regarding parking so we ended up driving around it a few times before we realized how to get to the entrance. The hotel interior is nice but the whole entry area outside of it looks sad and neglected and was an odd set up, but didn’t really take away from our experience since we were heading into the city and just wanted a place for the night where we could park. Overall I’d probably stay here again since it suited us and was affordable.
Very clean, well-maintained facility that is nicely furnished. Small details were overlooked such as no glasses furnished in rooms, or no tissues provided. Breakfast buffets, however, were exceptional!!
