"Overall a positive experience at this hotel. For the price - the amenities and condition of the hotel makes sense. Pros - affordable -free parking spot (one of the only hotels in Portland that offers that) -friendly staff -very spacious Cons - cleaning every 3 days -a bit dingy -loud if you have loud neighbors but the staff does address noise issues quickly "

"Loved everything. Perfect location for walking. The evening reception (with free cocktails?!) and complimentary breakfast were above any expectations. There are 2 hot tubs! Room was spacious and clean, and the staff was great. Will stay here again. 😊"

"Very enjoyable stay at the Benson. Staff was super friendly, and the room was comfortable, well appointed, and clean. My only "negative" is that the disabled friendly (no steps) entrance was almost always locked from the outside, even during the day. This was a minor inconvenience for me, as I am mostly mobile, but would have been a major one were I in a wheelchair. Otherwise, it is a fabulous hotel and I would absolutely stay again!"

"Was under construction, which meant the restaurant hours were effected by this and also in room dining. Not a luxury experience at all having to pay a resort fee seemed totally unnecessary I’d say considering. Won’t be giving this property another try which is a same as it’s a very historic Portland location but under new ownership and has lost all of its magic. "
