We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel in Ponta Do Sol. Felt like a resort! Gorgeous grounds, pool and spa. Many spaces to sit and enjoy a drink. The views are exceptional throughout the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and offered a great variety. We highly recommend a stay here if visiting PDS

Really interesting building, with access to the various levels via external escalators. An intriguing Bond villain vibe! The staff were all lovely, facilities were very good, and the rooms were simple but pleasant. The spa area was sometimes a little understaffed, but the pool was very nice and clean, with beautiful views. The restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Overall a really nice stay!

A great place - set in the cliff tops with amazing views. Great spa facilities, large comfortable beds, superb food, and friendly and efficient staff. The free shuttle buses/taxis to and from the airport, local walking areas and Funchal, meant we didn't have to hire a car, and there were also free e-bikes which were great. Ponta do Sol is quiet, but there are a few bars/restaurants which served great food.

Exceeded my expectations. The property is a bit dated / could use some upkeep, eg. caulking in the showers. However the property itself, views, pool, grounds was just incredible. Food at breakfast was also very good, staff was helpful. Really glad we stayed!

I think there should be a shampoo and conditioner when it's a four star hotel. Had to buy in the store to be able to wash my long hair. The toilet seat was loose and rickety, had to reassemble it when it came off. Way too much bright lighting, no romantic cozy lighting. Otherwise very comfortable beds, pillows, towels, nice view of the sea from the balcony. Good breakfast, very good dinner in your restaurant!

Hotel occupies a stunning plot set up on the hill over multiple levels. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were great with the exception of Celina who was outstanding - going out of her way to accommodate any requests, and possessing always a cheery disposition. The dinner menu was good but when you stay for more than one week is boring and would benefit from, at the very least, one daily special. The room was tired, in particular the bathroom with the shower door not shutting and the toilet seat poorly fitted. We had a beach towel on arrival but it would have been nice if this was automatically changed at the end of week one. The hotel apparently had a barbeque for the first time on the evening before we left and our driver to the airport asked whether we had been but we had no idea of its existence. On two nights a week there were music events (open to outside visitors) which impacted on the rest of the hotel which was a shame as really they should have been in addition to 'normal service'. The pool was beautiful but there were at least 7 hard plastic sunbeds that were missing their padded topper which meant if you were out in the morning you would possibly end up in the afternoon on a very uncomfotable sunbed - for not much cost I'm sure these could have been replaced. I would recommend the hotel as a very restful holiday but would recommend they address the few niggly issues and invest a bit of money in the tired areas

A very special place to stay.

A very special stay 😊 From the elevator arrival, a spectacular view from the bridge to reception and on into the beautiful gardens and mesmerising view from our balcony, this is a unique and special place to stay. A few of the areas are showing signs of their age but everything is very clean and well tended. Eating in the garden restaurant be will hard to beat. The poolside was never crowded and nearby town offers plenty of evening choices plus ocean swimming not to be missed! 100% recommended - we’ll be sad if we can’t find time to return.

Das Hotel hat eine phantastische Lage. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir hatten wunderschönes Zimmer mit Meerblick. Bei Ankunft war der Fußboden nicht sauber, aber während des Aufenthaltes wurde das Zimmer perfekt gereinigt. Infinty-Outdoorpool ist angenehm gewärmt. Der Sparbereich lässt Wünsche offen: Winzige,unzureichende Sauna für max.2 Personen. Im Dampfbad hat es unangenehm gerochen, ebenso im Indoor-Pool. Frühstück reichhaltig und jeden Tag eine Besonderheit zum bestellen. Die Menü Karte für das Dinner ist sehr überschaubar, die Qualität der Speisen aber sehr gut. Parkmöglichkeiten am Hotel sind sehr begrenzt.

Das Hotel ist auf einem Hügel. Oben angekommen hat man eine wunderschöne Sicht auf Ponta do Sol. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Die Pools sind wunderschön und im Hotel ist es angenehm ruhig, dass man sich richtig entspannen kann.

Man kan kun være taknemmelig

De smukkeste udsigter, udsøgt betjening, super lækker morgenmad. Wellnessområdet kunne trænge til en up-grade - men alt i alt vender man taknemmelig hjem efter en uge på dette fantastiske hotel og dejlig lille by med fine spisemuligheder også - i kort gå afstand fra hotellet.
