I recently spent a week at Mountain View Hotel, and it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. This family-run hotel excels in warm hospitality—everyone is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A special shout-out to DhiRaj, who went above and beyond to organize all my travel and adventure excursions. Thanks to his expertise, my trip to Nepal was seamless and stress-free. From the moment I arrived, everything was taken care of, allowing me to dive straight into the adventure. Despite being budget-friendly, the hotel offers excellent facilities. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with everything in perfect working order—including a kettle, which was a thoughtful touch. The bed was cozy, and after long, adventure-packed days, it was a relief to have such a comfortable place to recharge. The location is another bonus—just off the main road, it’s peaceful while still close to the action. It’s about a 10-minute stroll to Lakeside, and there’s even a huge park across the road for morning runs. One of the most memorable parts of my stay was meeting fellow guests, who were all friendly and easygoing. In a fun twist, the pilot from my helicopter ride to Base Camp was staying next door! If you’re looking for a welcoming, affordable place to stay in Nepal where you’ll be treated like family, Mountain View Hotel is the place to be.
On arrival we were told that the room we had booked was unavailable due to the festival and so we would have to stay in the sister hotel 'Paramount'. This hotel was in poor condition and very uncomfortable. Lots of insects in room/bed. The staff were friendly and booked us a bus ticket which was the only positive aspect.
The price was great
The room was clean
If you woke up early you'll have a chance to see the Himalayas from the rooftop
There are some electricity cut off
It was simple and clean - better than we expected for the price. We enjoyed the little garden with tables, chairs and a swing. We enjoyed the simple breakfast and the friendly staff.
El personal del hotel es muy amable y te ayudan en todas tus dudas.

Decent location and affordable
Since it was not very cold we had a pleasant stay. However, in extreme weather it would be uncomfortable because the rooms are not air-conditioned. Moreover no food is available except for a simple breakfast on payment. The hotel is based out of a house and is being run by a family living in an adjacent building. They are very helpful and hospitable.
Very good location, not too close and too far from the center. Place is run by a very nice and helpful Family. Room was good, optional breakfast available.
We stayed here for a week. The owners were pleasent and very helpful. The hotel is also located close to the green lines bus terminal which is an excellent bus services for travelling from Kathmandu and back. I also liked that we were close to many things such as stores and restaurants.
The young guy that we mostly had contact with was great. He was extremely helpful, always friendly and made our stay hassle free.
The room we had first time on the 1st floor was the better of the rooms, bright and airy. The rooms on the ground floor a a little dark, but as this is due to the proximity of the building next door it is nothing that can be helped.
We left our luggage with them while we went trekking and everything was just as we left it which means a lot to us given we left all of our electronics there!
If I could give one one hopefully helpful piece of advice to them, it would be to work on the plumbing. Leaking taps and toilets are so easily fixed and make a big difference to keeping the bathroom dry and saving on water bills as well.
Thanks guys to making our stay in Pokhara enjoyable and when we come back we shall definitely stay with you again.
