Over priced for such a mediocre property ,there is no cafe on site or coffee maker in rooms,the beach access requires a car and does not provide parking, there is only one key per room,one chair for outside seating per room, shower is cramped no place provided for toiletries. The pool is clean and a comfortable temperature, staff is friendly.

The bed was really comfortable, I slept well! The only problem for me was that when I got to my room there was a used cloth and towel hanging on the shower curtain. The staff was apologetic when I told them.

I'd recommend with a caveat. Great location and run by nice people. But if people are used to staying in normal HOTELS rather than beach motels, they won't like it. (My companion didn't.) The room lacked a lot of normal amenities (hangers in the closet, hairdryer, extra towels and pillows, coffee maker, etc.) I've stayed in Jersey Shore motels just like this before, so I chalk it up to local custom but my companion was put out, especially when a trip was made to the office for hangers and she was told the could not be supplied. (They did offer the loan of a hair dryer and gave her ice.) Cleaning was also less than impressive. There was an envelope on the dresser that specified "tip for cleaners" but it was hard to see what cleaning had been done. I didn't expect linens to be changed but the beds weren't even straightened up. Wet towels were removed and dry ones supplied but I didn't see any more cleaning than that. The floors weren't swept. TV was good and I've seen that be bad on the Shore. Price was right. We were only there for 2 days, so it's not any tragedy, but if you're fussy this isn't the place for you.

Excellent Customer Service

My daughter and her friends stayed here for 3 nights after prom. The customer service and communication with the owner was excellent! The girls thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we would definitely use it for a family vacation stay!

We had NO hot water and beds block a/ c.Staff leaves when pool closes which for now is 7:30. There was no phone in the room and no clock

Bravo to Laura!!!!

The hotel was excellent, room was very comfortable and must have been recently updated, Brand new floor tile through out the room and bath. Convenient to all the fine restaurants, highly recommend Jack Baker's Wharfside Restaurant too, close to the harbor for quick access to the charter boats. Pool was heated and very clean. The best part of staying here was the service and helpfulness of the day manager, Laura. She could not do enough for me.during my stay. Would recommend the Boardwalk Beach Hotel to anyone looking for lodging in Point Pleasant Beach. Dennis Young East Otto, New York

Don't waste your time or money

Very unprofessional establishment. I booked 6 weeks in advance with a deposit charged to my credit card immediately. Employee called the day of the reservation to ask what time I would be checking in. She then called 30 mins later saying they were overbooked and I would have to be moved to another one of there motels. Thanks, but no thanks- motel was nowhere near the same location and I would have to drive everywhere. Unacceptable. They canceled reservation but have yet to refund deposit, saying it would take several weeks. I have yet to get notification in writing of their error.

Clean room & friendly staff.

Would recommend putting a small table & 2 chairs in room and in the bathroom, there is no place to put your shampoo. Otherwise it is a great room. Would stay there again!

No private beach or cafe as advertised

They advertised having a private beach and cafe except it's not located at their hotel. It's located at their sister hotel the driftwood that you have to drive to but they won't let you park or take a trolley. Their false advertising ruined our vacation as we didn't have a car to move around

Nice, but very over priced for what it is

It was nice! I think it is too expensive for what it is. It is a short walk to the beach which is nice, but that's about it. There was no breakfast or anything. I wouldn't ever pay that much to stay there again.

Not worth a $200+ stay. Small room. No wifi, poor lighting, moldy shower curtain. Room needed updates. An envelope for the expected housekeeping tip was left instead of a box of tissues.

KEEP LOOKING

Based on other reviews and last motel we stayed at around this location had higher expectations. Was disappointed with the room condition, cleanliness and customer service. Reviews claimed motel was recently renovated so was expecting rooms to be in top condition, which I didn't find to be the case. Also, the room we booked was not available and we had no other option but to upgrade and pay extra. Many motels near this area offer free daily beach passes, this motel did not. Would not recommend or stay here again.
