Very clean and extremely reasonable expectations from the host. Everything worked, no problems. We did a rafting trip and it was well located. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed sitting on the patio.
Everything was great. Nice. Clean. Only tricky thing was the driving directions. This place is tucked away on its own so was a tad hard to find the first time.
Great house clean and comfortable. Host is great if you need anything.
Try to arrive during daylight for the first time. It’s a little hard to find until you have been there once.
Outside deck is great even in the winter.

Another family lives in the home’s basement apartment
There is a family living in a basement unit of the home. This was not disclosed in the listing. So, while it is very nice inside the home, you have to be okay with another family living below you. And yes, you can hear them. No Wi-fi either. Cell service was good. Otherwise, clean, lovely setting, comfortable. Driveway is gravel and steep down to the house, so just be aware if you have a low riding car.
The house was beautiful, nicely decorated, everything needed was provided. The primary bed was so tall that at 5'7" I needed help to get into it. A stool would have been a nice addition. The weather was not nearly as cold as the beds were dressed for; flannel sheets, multiple comforters. It was too hot and lighter weight bedding couldn't be found. Very secluded and for the most part very quiet. The permanent tenants downstairs had a rip roaring fight one of the nights, slamming doors, yelling, etc., earplugs didn't help. Dirt driveway, very bumpy, 4-wheel drive would be great. It was a nice stay just not great sleep.
The home was even better than we expected. Plenty of cozy space for the four of us to be together, surrounded by woods, and not far from a highway entry. Our host was very responsive and welcoming. We would be happy to stay here again.
Such a charming house! Everything is well maintained and kept exceptionally well. Directions for check in and check out were clear and easy to follow. Fantastic host.
The house is very close to highway 50 but feels set back in the woods which is very nice. The lay out of the house was also very suitable for our family. There was a problem with the water while we stayed there causing a major leak in one of the bathrooms. It was pretty inconvenient and disruptive. I was in contact with the host about it but I didn't feel she did a good job of following up with us and nothing was offered to us to offset the disruption.
This house was perfect for our stay for our son's wedding. We had everything we needed and the house location was perfect. The home is well maintained and the homeowner was great to work with. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.
Thank you for inviting us into your lovely home for the extended weekend! In a world that is currently limiting so much of what we can do, it was nice to getaway with our family, have the space to enjoy the outdoors and be close to some sledding!
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on a private, secluded lot. The home was very spacious and exceptionally clean! We didn’t cook or use the kitchen but everything was well stocked if needed. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Highly recommend this gorgeous home, 5 stars!
This home was very spacious, secluded and quaint. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back deck. The deck was quite large and the home is more spacious than the photos showed which was a pleasant surprise. Also, this home is very clean, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer. This place is a great home to gather family together. I highly recommend this VRBO.
The house was very clean, spacious, and lovely. Unfortunately the day we arrived, PG&E cut power in the area due to weather conditions. The owner was great, and gave us an extra night to make up for the inconvenience of losing power. She even gave us recommendations on fun things to do in the area (be sure to check out Apple Hill!). Thank you, Veronica!

Disturbances by on-site caretaker/son and his dogs
Three of the four nights of our stay our sleep was disturbed or interrupted by the comings and goings and loud talking at all hours of the on-site caretaker/son and his companion whose living space was in a lower level of the house. There were dogs on the property that were not always leashed when they were let out. When they were let out in the early mornings, on two of the mornings the caretaker or his companion yelled loudly and repeatedly for them to return. The dogs were shut up in the daytime and frequently loudly whined. The outside deck is just above the driveway and entrance used by the caretaker/son, so there was not a sense of privacy or peacefulness there. Kitchen and bathroom counters were not cleaned--sticky from something. The location was convenient to freeway and shopping and the house was nice with many conveniences.. I visit Placerville often and had hoped this would be a good place to stay for return trips. I was very disappointed.
Mostly excellent! Very clean, quiet and the kitchen had more than average amenities. Beds were comfortable and had lots of space. A few minor comments:Bed side tables could use lamps where there were none on some. The Stove top could use instructions, took a few minutes to figure this out.The common room TV was a disappointment on Sunday as no broadcast channels were available, only streaming and no subscription for NFL games so we couldn't watch football.Otherwise, highly recommended for any group up to 5 or 6 people.
House lovely. My 77 year old mother in-law stayed in room with two twins, she found them a little high and hard to get on/out of.
I’d like to see more cleaning supplies. We are in a drought, dirt got tracked In on beautiful wood floors and I like things clean, could not find swiffer or dust mop. I know cleaning included, however, my corky personality was bothered by the dirt. Didn’t bother the rest of my family at all! All in all very nice.
Great property for a family getaway in the Placerville area! Spacious home in a peaceful hillside location. Clean and well cared for. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Recommend for a fun family weekend.
The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Just what we needed for a weekend in Placerville. The host was responsive and helpful.

Nice home but multiple people living in property
The home was comfortably appointed with a lovely kitchen and supplies. HOWEVER not as advertised as renting whole house. There are tenants in the basement and this was not listed in any of the advertising. There is also a man living in a very derelict trailer on the property. If I wasn't with my husband I would not have felt comfortable with multiple men and dogs walking around the property we thought we were renting in entirety. The owner was very responsive and said she would update the listing, but we were so disappointed. The basement runs along the whole master bedroom, kitchen, living room so I felt I had to keep shushing my two boys as to not be too loud or rude as I'm sure the tenants must not be thrilled with this arrangement either.
I grew up in the area and travel here often and was really hoping this could be a rental we could book again and again, but sadly we won't be while there are others renting the same space.
Veronica made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Her home is close to Hwy 50 making it convenient to Tahoe and Sacramento. It is close to winery’s in Eldorado and an easy drive to Amador. Her home is spacious for 6 people easily. She does have renters in her basement. This caused an issue with the renters staying up late and not realizing there were paying guests upstairs. Veronica took care of the situation. There is no wifi. So working remotely was slowed down using a paired phone. Overall the home is conveniently located. The beds and living areas are comfortable. The bathrooms are clean with shampoo and body wash. I would stay again.
