Amazing setting, right on the river Tay. Even saw the whitewater rafting go past. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect with all the facilities you need. Restaurant food was amazing, probably some of the best food I’ve eaten anywhere. Breakfast was perfect. Was perfect for our dog and staff very attentive with her. Definitely recommend this accommodation 😀👍
Once over the threshold, it is both welcoming & engaging.
There is a real “ personal “ touch & the owners are so “ hands on”& this care filters down through all their Staff.
Alas, the weather was not in our favour, but the sun always shines inside the “ Inn on the Tay”!
will definitely revisit & highly recommend.
Thanks for a lovely experience!

Amazing stay at an amazing Inn!!
Wow! An amazing stay!! The staff and owners were superb, always attentive, friendly and very helpful going to great lengths to make sure the stay was above standard.. Our dog, Hector, has never been pampered as much as he was here! The food was absolutely top class (especially the Korean Sticky Wings) .. The room was huge, clean and well stocked. Couldn't really ask for more. we WILL be back!!
Staff were really accommodating, especially when friends came from hotel across road whos breakfast wasn’t to their taste and the inn on the tay sorted them out with a bacon roll, which was extremely kind. So well done for going above and beyond fir non residents.
Enjoyed our stay welcome ,staff, cleanliness, food, room, bar, restaurant all lovely first class.Felt very welcoming and relaxing, food was first class.Highly recommend for a stay or just for a meal 10/10.
Another fabulous find for our road trip, this hotel is located in such a lovely location, plus its opposite the Highland Chocolatier! Staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Our room was excellent and very comfortable.
This Inn is superb in every respect. The river views are spectacular. Food is exceptional. Staff members treatment of guests is off the charts in the best ways. We're senior citizens and experienced travelers who conclude that this place and the staff exceed usual standards for excellence.
We had a great stay at Inn on the Tay. We had a family room with our daughter and it was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had dinner on arrival and breakfast in the morning both were delicious. Will definitely be back.
This is on 3 miles off the beaten track but it's a world away from any stress. We booked as a stopover travelling from the Hebrides to home. The setting was tranquil and they made us immediately welcome. Dinner was superb and staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was really comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was relaxed and there was a wide choice of freshly cooked options. If we're ever that way again, we will definitely book another night (ideally more).
Met the owner and he was very difficult to communicate with. He had had a bad day plus staff shortage. Staff were nice people. Property in need of lot of upgrading especially in the bathroom - antiquated.
Food was good. Picturesque outside with the river Tay and the rapids by the hotel.
Loved our stay here, this is an old inn adapted to cater for the modern traveler therefore the rooms are a little quirky, i.e. no wardrobe in our room (no.3). The bathroom was small with a good electric shower.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We had an early dinner which was excellent before going to the theatre in Pitlochry a 15min drive back down a quiet country road then along the A9.
There was some sort of party going on which made it rather noisy but did eventually quieten down around midnight.
Breakfast was excellent with a good selection, well cooked, good coffee, good toast.
We would stay there again next time we are in the area.
Great location, great hosts & staff, great food. There is nothing not to like. Room was clean and very spacious with good facilities and comfortable bed. The Inn was well maintained and clean in all public areas. On site parking is well catered for and the Inn is perfectly located to explore the region and central Scotland generally. This was a solo trip and I was made very welcome, especially at meal times, when everyone took time to chat about the day's events.
The restaurant is open to the public and was busy each night which is always a good sign and the food didn't disappoint.
Thoroughly recommended
My wife and I overnighted with a small dog and found the room was perfect for us. Comfortable bed, sofa and shower room. Lovely views over the river. The restaurant was lovely and food options for vegetarians, good. Service and staff brilliant. Thanks
