Lovingly managed by the owners, we call this property "Porte 22", after its famous front door and house number. Porte 22 is also your culinary gastronomic experience: gather fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from the local markets and prepare yourselves a sumptuous meal in your custom designed kitchen.

Porte 22's (No-Smoking) accommodation is located on the first floor of our three floor home. The first floor is reserved exclusively for holiday guests. If you appreciate wooden beams, exposed interior stone, original floor tiles, and being located just steps from the town center and weekly market, you will feel at home at Porte 22.

Layout: 100 sq meters / 1100 sq ft: 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4, gorgeous sun drenched and night lit ROOF TERRACE for your exclusive use, secure PARKING, AC units, custom designed French kitchen fully equipped & stocked, stylish furniture locally sourced (no Ikea items!), luxury linen, high speed Fibre Optic WIFI, TV, games; and a generous welcome basket filled with local products.

Once you have let yourselves in and explored your living space, we will welcome you in person and share as much knowledge about Pézenas and the surrounding region as you require.

Fancy exploring the region by BIKE? Three mountain bikes at your disposal to explore the surrounding vineyards.

If we could give our stay in Pezenas 10 stars we would. Louise, for creating and sharing the most wonderful space in a fabulous location as well as a secure carpark (& air conditioning!). And, Patty for constantly going the extra mile to ensure everything about our stay worked perfectly, all the tips & suggestions, the kindness, warmth and wonderful humor. Pezenas kept giving to us with its markets, parades and wine and music. We will never forget our stay and know you will not regret booking this tasteful, comfortable and convenient apartment. Perfect!

My experience at Porte 22 was perfect from the start. Louise is an amazing host and Patty, her apartment manager, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Both made feel me so welcome.Louise provides a fabulous basket of goodies, tourist guides and two very useful maps of the area. There are plenty of books and magazines to flick through, even a couple of books that mention Porte 22 within their pages.The apartment is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and has so many wonderful little touches that make it such a special home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and some things you didn’t realise you needed. The beds, linen and towels are all top quality and a pleasure to use. The location in Pezanas is perfect for all town centre events, shopping, cafe hopping and eating out. The Historic Centre is a dream to browse around, it's a place of inspiration for anyone who appreciates arts and crafts. The people of Pezanas are extremely friendly and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending Porte 22. I will hopefully return sometime soon and recommend to my friends in future. Porte 22 is a very special apartment for anyone wanting a bit of luxury, a great location and a truly French holiday experience.

Une belle expérience

Our stay at Porte 22 was easy and delightful from day 1. Having been to Pézena annually, we knew of the rich beauty, gastronomy, wine, and culture of the area. Our first stay at Porte 22 only added to our experience this time. It is well-appointed, comfortable, historic, and a great kitchen and terrace. Stunning property

We absolutely loved our 7 day stay at Porte 22. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 14) and had a wonderful and comfortable stay at this immaculately restored period property. Porte 22 is so well located right in the centre of Pezenas but quiet and tranquil too. The roof terrace was perfect and the apartment felt really spacious. There was a heatwave in Pezenas when we stayed but the aircon worked very well. WiFi was super fast but the real gem of this place was the finishing touches Louise has brought to everything from the Nespresso machine to the bikes and the beach gear. Thank you Louise for everything and to Patty who was available if we needed anything at all. We would love to return one day.

Great stay in a phantastic townhouse

I was impressed by the house and the way it was remodeled. I was feeling very cozy from the very finest moment, a my friend came in only a little later. The house is located in the very center of Pezenas, in the midst of everything. Thank you!

Wunderbare Unterkunft

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in Pézenas. Der Ort hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Aber etwas ganz besonderes war die Wohnung. Sie hat unsere Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen, obwohl sie im Internet sehr attraktiv beschrieben ist. Sehr schön war auch der warme Empfang und die umfangreiche Kommunikation vor unserer Ankunft. Wonderful time immersed in the French culture

Very clean and owner had every thing you need. Comfortable, many stairs to reach flat, be sure you’re mobile. Kitchen great for cooking! We did very little as we enjoyed the many restaurants of French cuisine. Boulangerie close by to purchase croissants every morning. Enjoyed beaches close to Pezanas and many historic sites in the neighborhood.

Eine Perle im Herzen von Pézenas

Eine wundervoll eingerichtete Wohnung erwartete uns mittig im wundervollen Pézenas. Einchecken konnten wir direkt bei Ankunft, wo uns Patty, die freundliche Perle von Porte 22, herzlich empfing und uns alles zeigte. Alles was das Herz begehrt gibt es in dieser sensationell eingerichteten Wohnung, es fehlte an nichts… Die Eigentümer von Porte 22 durften wir glücklicherweise ebenfalls kennenlernen, die uns immer das Gefühl gaben, sie schon seit ewigen Zeiten zu kennen und immer und überall herzlich willkommen zu sein… Porte 22….die Heimat in der Ferne Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder ❤️

Living history!

Calling Porte 22 a 'stay' is almost an insult - it is an 'experience'! The house felt like a living being. Exquisitely restored, top of the range facilities, but never losing sight of it's history. A young heart in an old soul. Mysteries of the ages abound. Porte 22 is but a stone's throw from the higgledy-piggledy of the old centre with it's artisans, restaurants and architecture. Overlooking a wide pedestrian street. And access into and out of Pezenas is a breeze with the car park only 200 metres away. Our communication with the owner Louise and her local, fiercely protective, guardian, Patty, was exceptional - both professional and warm. One week was hardly enough...

Home away from Home

The apartment provided every conceivable item to make ours a most enjoyable stay. Our host was just wonderful providing excellent pre arrival information. Delightful Experience

Louise is a splendid host and her sidekick, Patty, is a treasure. We three old friends from Canada had everything we needed at Porte 22 for a delightful week in peaceful Pézenas. Pezenas near perfection

The best equipped and both intelligently and tastefully modernised property we have ever stayed at. A credit to the owner. Excellent location. The elderly should be aware there is a 30 step spiral staircase to the roof terrace - but it is marvellous when you are there!

A classy Pied-a-Terre

We are returning for our third? Fourth? visit to Porte 22. We love the proximity to the center of town and the many wonderful features of the property - especially the roof deck! There is really nothing better than having dinner up there, with the swifts circling overhead. Pezenas is lovely and lively, and road biking in the neighborhood of Pezenas is outstanding. We discovered a new swimming hole nearby which made cooling off even easier than before. And the wineries ! Not to be missed: Mas Gabriel in Caux. Back to Porte 22 - Louise thinks of everything - for example - there is a set of extra plates and glasses on the roof deck so that you don't have to run up and down the stairs carrying them. There's a picnic basket! and several umbrellas for beach trips! Everything has a place, and the kitchen equipment is top notch. I have so much more to say about this wonderful Vrbo, but so little time (back at work already!) but we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our two weeks in the home and will be back as soon as we can for another visit.

Fabulous property in heart of old town

Porte 22 is a exceptional property. Built in the 1600s, it has been sympathetically renovated throughout and has been furnished with considerable style far above what you would expect from a holiday rental. Simply everything had been thought of there. If you need something, simply search in the cupboards! The roof terrace was a bonus and added another dimension to our stay. The amazing display of swifts swooping over the rooftops and our heads in the evenings was very special. The stone staircases may not be for someone with reduced mobilty especially if you plan on using the roof terrace. The garage is a bonus and just a few minutes walk away. The bike store was very useful too. All communication was easy, friendly and helpful. Lastly, the location was perfect being in an attractive and quiet street yet minutes from shops, restaurants etc. Pezanas is a lovely town we shall visit again, for sure. Thank you to Louise and Patty for a wonderful stay.
