We loved our stay at the grand Hotel. Hotel staff were especially kind and helpful, and especially Christoph and his colleagues, who went above and beyond to help out with some special requests. For a family of four the suite 301-302 was perfect! Two separate rooms in the same suite, one with a terrific sea view, and the other with a partial sea view. With kids, the casino was not of interest, but the hotel is perfectly situated on the boardwalk of an idyllic little beach town. You can reach the beautiful pink granite coast via a 30- 45-minute walk from the hotel along a wonderful coastal trail.

Wonderful experience

This hotel was luxurious and the staff amazing. The room was spacious and the breakfast the best I have ever had in a hotel. There was a sense of calm and serenity which was so relaxing.

We liked the overall feel of the hotel. The restaurant and breakfast were very good. The staff very friendly. The room tastefully decorated with a great sea view. Parking easy and free. We didn’t like: - No availability at the spa (too small to accommodate the number of guests) - The cost and welcome pack for our dog. €25/per night and a supposedly dog-friendly hotel merits more than a 0.25 cents bonbon. We felt insulted receiving the welcome pack. Our suggestions are: - Put a dog station in the hotel with leaflets/publicity for owners to take should they wish. - Give the dog treat on check-in to the owner/dog. - no need to give 1 poo bag. They are available in the street. Or put some on the dog stand in the hotel. A gift bag with a lot of paper info, 1 poo bag and a dog treat is a waste of resources in today’s ecologically-friendly world.

We loved our stay, beautiful hotel

We nearly didn't stay here due to some negative reviews but we are so pleased we ignored them. Our room was very modern a nice size with everything you needed. We paid for a Seaview and terrace which was definitely worth the extra cost. The roof top spa is perfect along with the roof top bar. The hotia right in the seafront near bars and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Work was being done at the hotel which we were not informed about. They drilled through breakfast service the first morning and when I tried to have a nap in the afternoon the drilling and banging continued. Cleaning lady was lovely.

Awesome

Awesome place with great views. Very comfortable and enjoyed it a lot. Only bad thing was smokers next door smoking on the balcony and smoke coming into our room. Forcing us to close the windows to the balcony when we wanted to enjoy the fresh sea breeze.

Beautiful hotel located across from the beach. Room was excellent, bed comfortable, room clean & had all the amenities needed. Service issue was for delay with room service for breakfast, coffee was cold & items ordered not there. Had to call 4 times to get it right. Would definitely return but would skip room service.

Almost Perfect

The good: Wonderful hotel built on the best location in town. The sea views are amazing, and the short walk to amenities, hiking paths, and the town center - as well as the rooftop spa - made it so we were able to park the car and leave it for a few days (side note: free parking in a place/location like this was really nice. It was busy in town, and we came in the low season. I can only imagine trying to find a place to park in the summer!). The service staff was always very pleasant. We enjoyed the decor, and overall, we would definitely come back. The bad: The internet went out for the entire day on our last full day. When we asked about it, we got a shoulder shrug and a "Yep, it's out," but no explanation or time to repair. It was still out when we checked out. Considering that people conduct business, go to school, or just run apps on the TV using the internet, this was not cool. At the rates paid for the hotel, one expects the Wi-Fi to work or a backup to be in place. Beyond that, the elevators are very slow and small. The breakfast is grossly over-priced. I've seen similar spreads offered gratis in lesser hotels, but here they charge €20 per person. And staying with food, the main restaurant was exceptionally bland. This is a luxury resort hotel next to the ocean in France; the food game left much to be desired, and its that much more noticeable because, again, it's France.
