We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We especially appreciated its colonial character, the abundance of plants and flowers throughout the property, and the courtesy extended to us by both the owners and the staff. Our ground-floor room was consistently spotless and welcoming. Each day, staff carefully tidied the room, replenished towels and toiletries, and ensured everything was in order. We spent time daily in the garden, enjoying the quiet, listening to the birds and other wildlife, and admiring the flowers. Discovering the koi fish in the front garden was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. What truly distinguished our stay, however, was the genuine care and attention shown by the owners and their staff. They offered thoughtful and practical advice on what to see and do in Pátzcuaro, including recommendations for restaurants and local entertainment. We felt well looked after throughout our visit and would happily return.

We really like the place. It is our kind of place, very quiet and close to the plaza while being slightly out of the 'El Centro" region. It is only a short walk to the plaza. We don't usually eat motel breakfasts but do here as it is very good and healthy to boot. The place is absolutely gorgeous with a coy pond and lots of plants.

Special property in a magical town.

My wife and I are travelling Mexico this winter. We wanted to spend time in the magical town of Patzcuaro. Hotel Posada Yolihuani is just a couple of blocks from the main square which is an amazing place, there always seems to be some interesting activity taking place This is a boutique type property with cozy rooms, lovely courtyards and lots of vegetation. The proprietors are a wonderful couple who are extremely helpful. Their staff are very friendly and capable. The amount of effort everyone contributed decorating for this christmas was amazing. The proprietors are very knowledgable of the town and area and can recommend many things of interest and contacts for tours etc . Highly recommend this property.

This hotel is very centrally located. This is it's good feature. Rooms are very old, I estimate at least 65 years oldand have not been very well maintained. All doors, windows, floors, bathroom fixtures were defective or on the verge of breaking. This includes all locks, latches and hinges. None of the windows or doors were weatherproof or soundproof, which made for particularly cold, humid and noisy rooms. The hotel advertises as pet-friendly. However, pet rooms are not designated so you may end up with a room which has a definite pet smell. Windows have no blinds, so lights from corridors cannot be blocked. Standard hotel amenities are not present. Such as air conditioning or heating in the rooms, so no way to clean the atmosphere or dry the air in the room. There is no parking at this hotel, although you may park at the very narrow, sloped street at your own risk. There is paid parking nearby, but with very limited capacity. The hotel advertises free WiFi, but the existing one has extremely poor quality of service. I was unable to connect throughout my entire stay. There is not staffed reception or regular service. You may have to wait for someone to appear at the reception desk and no chance of asking for extra linens afterhours, for example. Showers are extremely loud. You cannot hold a conversation in our room if the neighboring room's shower is being used. Linens, pillows and towels have a moldy smell. There are many other better places to stay in Patzcuaro.
