The rooms are cozy and quiet. You feel like you’re away from everything but it’s only a few minutes to everything Paso has to offer. Dian is an amazing host. We were very happy with our entire experience and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.
Beautiful, peaceful property in a convenient location. We loved the quiet and convenience of our unit - super comfy bedding, tons of towels and a sweet patio.
Very rural but nice. All 4 cottages are different. I wish there was more closet space or some drawers. I stayed almost 3 weeks. There is a lot to do in the area. Great location. It was also under construction so I tried to stay out of the way
The photos on this VRBO don’t do it justice. The place not only lives up to its name - Serenity - the grounds are beyond beautiful. Dian is a wonderful hostess and I enjoyed connecting with her over the duration of my stay. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet retreat!
The farm cottage is adorable. Could use some updated furniture. As the furniture has some kind of musty smell to it and not very sturdy. A dehumidifier would definitely be a plus. The door could use a chain or deadbolt to make you feel more secure. The place could use a nice deep cleaning and the throw rug in room shampooed. All and all if give the cottage a 4.5 star rating
The host are AMAZING! I have traveled to Paso Robles for the last 35 years and I usually stay with family. However this time I decided not to stay with family and I was happy I did not. This is a great place for stay cations and again the host are lovely people. I will definitely be staying here again! Thank again Mr & Mrs. Packer!
Beautiful property and beautiful people!! Such a beautiful experience and a pleasure staying in such beautiful surroundings. No complaints on anything but a suggestion to put an interior lock on the door to help the tenants feel a bit safer at night even though it was a safe looking/feeling neighborhood and the owners were safe feeling as well, just a little extra security doesn’t hurt. Overall an amazing experience, can’t wait to stay again.

This is a beautiful location and we’ve stayed here before. It’s country charming appeal is so relaxing especially with the fireplace on a rainy day. It just wasn’t very clean. Seems like some simple attention could make a big difference. On another note, they provide coffee but it’s flavored with a powdered flavor creamer. It would be nice to have regular coffee and plain creamer so if you’re not into flavored then I would suggest bringing your own. Otherwise a beautiful cozy place for a romantic weekend.
I’ll start with the positives. Dian was very responsive. Clear instructions on everything and let us check-in early. Grounds were beautiful and LANDSCAPING was well maintained. Cottage was very cute with nice decor in the cottage theme and very clean. Comfortable bed and lots of towels. Now for the negative. The place is rundown and in disrepair. Inside: cracked/broken tiles, tilted fixtures, uneven/missing paint and caulking, cracked plaster, sloping floors and table. Burnt out bulbs. Pool area could be really nice (Grecian theme) with a nice glassed in hottub room and a big indoor/outdoor kitchen, but.. there were only 3 working loungers (4 more unusable) there were only 2 of us on a girls weekend. If we’d had a group we’d be out of luck. There was also grass growing up through the patio, a smashed table left laying on the patio, umbrellas laying in the flower bed and a rusted out diving board with a broken sign on it.Despite the negatives, I would stay here again.
We had a great time visiting Paso and staying in the cottage. It was a great location- easy to get downtown and to wineries. Having a small kitchen was a big bonus for the start of the day too. Dian was easy to communicate with and very kind when something unexpected came up with our arrival. Check in and check out was very straightforward.
We stayed in a small unit which was one of 4 in the Farmhouse at the back of this huge, beautiful property. The unit itself was a little tight for the 2 of us but originally my husband wasn't going with me and changed his mind. Would have been just fine had it only been me. Serenity Cottage has shabby chic/Victorian decor (my taste) with crystal chandeliers, white painted furniture and some antiques. There is not a separate living room and the loveseat is in the bedroom. Wasn't really a problem but there is really no place to leave open suitcases and very little drawer space. My husband put his suitcase in the dining room. It was hot outside during the day but there is an air-conditioned in the bedroom which kept things cool.. The kitchen and bath were nicely remodeled and water pressure and temperature were fine. The unit was in the back of the building with a nice private lanai. We could hear the people above us. The property has multiple places for relaxing including a fire pit, lounging areas and the pool. The location is convenient to downtown, the event center and wine tasting. Communication with owners was very good.
Really nice place, cold water carafe in the fridge well appreciated. Other amenities provided. And the raisin outside the door was ripe!
Due to communication issues, we were not aware that the kitchen had an induction cooktop. This needs to be in the listing.
Very happy with our stay, thanks again
We loved staying here, the property is quiet and spacious and the hosts were very gracious. The apartment was nicely laid out, lot of amenities and very comfortable. There is a pool with a separate hot tub room, lots are areas to wander around and beautiful gardens loaded with flowers. Dian gave us plums fresh off the tree and pointed out many of the local attractions. We will definitely stay here again. What a lovely place to stay. Thank you Dian
