"First night had no hot water at tub or sink. Friday night, sketchy individuals hanging around elevator with no kept trying to operate elevators. Two elderly ladies struggling with luggage cart because none was available to help them. Esspresso machine at coffee bar inop both days. Flip side, small plate food at bar was quite good. Knowledgeable tenders. Neat/clean work out room. Could be so much better with rough edges taken care of"

"We booked this hotel for 1 night prior to heading to Galveston for a cruise. Prior to booking I called the hotel directly to verify they offered a hotel shuttle. Unfortunately when we arrived we found out that they take a break from noon to 3pm and we landed at 1:30. So we had to find our own transportation to the hotel. We were able to check in early and greatly appreciated that. We did have issues with our room. There was an ant problem. They were all over in the bedroom. When we came back to our room from dinner I found them on the bed. Additionally the TV remote wasn’t working properly. The power button was ripped off so you could only turn on the tv on manually. Then once it was on the volume was very loud. We could not turn it down, with the remote or manual controls. Very frustrating when I am used to sleeping with the tv on quietly. The elevator was very dirty with stains on the walls. Not a great first impression. Our room was also missing some furniture as we booked 4 of the same rooms. No table and chair in the living room. Hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. "
