The hotel is in some renovations but it did not bother us at all. Room was fine, spacious and clean. The curtain are really high, it is OK but let sunshine in in the morning. We did not have a "do not disturb" card, so we were waked up each day in the morning. Other than that. All OK.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the facilities left much to be desired. There was no hair dryer, no coffee or tea provided in the room. The washroom door creaked loudly, and the walls were quite thin — I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, which affected my comfort and privacy. Overall, the service was good, but the hardware and amenities need significant improvement.

The room was spacious; the beds were very comfortable; the bathroom was lovely and well equipped. Staff was very nice. The hotel was being renovated and there were no fore-warnings of this. The lighting was insufficient in part of the room. School groups/ sports groups were noisy in the late evenings. Our door keys didn't work the second day & nor did the WiFi code.

They were able to check us in at 1 PM even without paying extra so it’s always good to call ahead to see if you can get your room sooner than later. Otherwise, the room was as expected. The service was OK. The phone in the room did not work at all. There was no dialtone. It was near a supermarket and a few other places to eat so that was useful. There was no breakfast included as they were doing renovations. The pool was not fantastic. If you were to stay here one or two nights that would be fine, but anything more than that they would have to upgrade some of their amenities.

Not bad but not great

Construction and renovations happening and we weren't advised when booking. Hallways smelled like paint and wallpaper adhesive. As for the room one of the lamps was broken (knob missing), the bathroom sink plug would not stay open so sink would fill unless you held it up, pillows far too soft and bed too soft for my preference, couch was either broken or old as we sunk into it when we sat down and it creaked. Noise from room above or down the hall was loud throughout the night making it difficult to sleep. As for the good stuff, the location is fantastic being within walking distance to the Casino and some shops. The room bathroom was clean and the overall room itself was clean albeit outdated with old furniture. Liked the hardwood/vynil floors for cleanliness but there was clearly not enough sound proofing. Would consider staying again but not until all work and renovations completed.
