Lovely clean and spacious apartment with good facilities. LOTS of steps (140+) from the main hotel up to the apartments so not suitable for anyone with small children or mobility issues. Kept us fit! Walkable distance to old town and lots of restaurants and cafés but 20min walk to a supermarket so perhaps more suited to someone with a car. Lovely stay, friendly helpful staff. Great pool. Would recommend.

Lovely villa on top of mountain, however not really suitable without car as there are very steep stairs to climb to access the town. Staff were kind and professional. Overall, a very good hotel.

Great apartment - scary approach road

The plus side was that our apartment was very spacious and had a marvellous view of old Ostuni. The room was adjacent to the hotel pool which would be great in warm weather. However it has to be said that the 'private road' that leads up to the apartments is a rather hazardous rough track, very steep and windy - what you do if you meet another car is beyond me. We were fortunate that we were the only vehicle in the apartments so parking was fine but would be very testing if there were three or four cars using parking area. The hotel did say they had alternative parking available but this would be a long walk from the partment.

What a prefect location- 10min walk into old town. Large apartment for two, most uncomfortable bed we’ve slept in/ two singles pushed together with a big dip in the middle (not so great) old stale smell in the cupboards.( we kept them open the whole time to air ) Dining chairs not cleaned properly (food crumbs still on them) The pool area is fantastic ( although way too much chlorine) easy free parking great. The view made the stay!!!! So quite sitting on the balcony overlooking the old town & Adriatic Sea - at night as it lights up is the most beautiful scenery!!!

The villa/apartment was sited on the hill behind the main hotel. The views over Ostini were fantastic. We had some problems with flight connections and lost baggage but the the staff at the hotel were amazing and really helpful (Theresa, Maria , Gabriella, Paola and the gentlemen on reception. whose names I cant remember !!) The restaurant was excellent as was the selection at the breakfast buffet. The 150 steps between the hotel and villas was quite challenging in 30 degrees + !! The pool , because it is built into the side of the hill/mountain can be quite chilly even in hot weather.Our villa was at the very top above the hotel and because there is a constant breeze, quite strong at times it made the exposed terrace unusable (suggest some kind of windbreak would be good) Overall, we had a good time , loved the area and would like to thank all the staff for the friendly and professional way they made our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic stay at Monte Sarago. Villa was spacious, well equipped & with a high level of cleanliness throughout Staff without exception were extremely helpful and friendly at all times - cleaning, reception, maintenance, bar & restaurant staff. We stayed in the self serviced apartment and it was perfect to have hotel amenities when needed and be so close to the pool and set higher up with fabulous views too. We were two families with two apartments and it suited us really well. The staff are brilliant and so helpful. Really make this place. Yes there’s lots of steps but we only did half days out so fine. The location is great to travel around and a super short walk to town centre

Wonderful holiday!

The hotel was located in an excellent position with stunning views of Ostuni town. The villa was kept very clean and although there were a number of steps to climb to the villas it was very peaceful and relaxing and well worth it. The villas are well equipped and spacious and very comfortable situated by the swimming pool. Ideal for families. It’s only a short walk into the centre of town so conveniently located. Guests can use the facilities of the hotel and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!
