Beautiful location near Boothsbay!
We stayed in October when the trees were gorgeous and the dome house is nestled in a wooded area. So pretty! Lots of room for everyone. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The property was lovely. At the end of a quiet road, overlooking the water, the dome house was a lovely. It was an excellent home base to enjoy booth bay. Also being minutes from the botanical garden was awesome, we ended up going twice.
It was so quiet and peaceful. The home was perfect and the back deck made it even better!

Secluded home with peace and tranquility
This was my second visit to the dome house and we had a great time again. This home is secluded and peaceful while still close to Boothbay Harbor shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the outside fire pit every evening.

Perfect little getaway
This home is situated close to dozens of preserves with hiking trails of all sorts (ocean front, pine forest, steep and challenging). It sits on a tidal river that our dog just loved. The forest near the home also has some fun, short hiking available in it. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back to this charming little area!

Feels secluded yet so close to town
The house was so charming, clean, and comfortable. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay during our visit to the Boothbay area. The Dome House is off the beaten track, right on a tidal river, which made every day and every hour a new private view. Be sure to schedule time to simply be. This is the perfect house for it!
Beautiful house with lots of charm….. gorgeous views from the deck. I was texted when we arrived to make sure we were happy with the cleanliness of the home and we were . House was supplied with plenty of towels, blankets, toiletries, cushions for outdoor furniture and games. We stayed here with our dogs who loved it as well. We would stay here again

Off the beaten trail
If you want the true maine coastal cottage experience this is it, although it had more conveniences than are strictly necessary, like the dishwasher. At the end of the road, its best calling card is the peace and quiet. What a place for contemplation and relaxation!

Dome away from home
We had an amazing time at the Dome House. We spent a few days here watching the tide come in and out, and eating almost all our meals out on the deck. The house is very comfortable, the wifi was fast and the kitchen was easy to use. We even managed to host a couple of friends over for a dinner of scallops and lobster. As it is pet friendly, we took our dog to all the local preserves and especially liked the views at Porter Preserve. It's pretty close to Boothbay Harbor, so we went into town a few times for drinks and shopping. (We found a bookstore where all the books are $1!) It's so quiet and peaceful at night, and I enjoyed stargazing--both outside and through a skylight in the loft. The house was beautifully decorated with the owners art, and it was fun to match some of the paintings to views from the kitchen!

Peaceful getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique home. Nestled at the end of a dirt road, it was a perfect setting to relax and unwind. The house was quite comfortable and charming filled with the owner’s beautiful artwork.
We had dinner at Water Street Kitchen and Bar in Wiscasset (known as the prettiest village in Maine) and highly recommend it. The food was excellent with atmosphere to match.
Boothbay Harbor is a fun walkable town with something for everyone.
We took a drive to Ocean Point and on our way back grabbed a couple lobster rolls at Ocean Point Marina, then headed back to the Dome home to enjoy on the deck overlooking the water. We were lucky to have perfect weather for it.
Breakfast the next morning at East Boothbay General Store was delicious…egg sandwiches, homemade donuts, muffins and breads.
Just a short walk away is Kerr + Jones Fine Art & Craft. I wanted everything in there!
And don’t miss Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens where you can see giant trolls by artist Thomas Dambo.
Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise 😊

Beautiful Boothbay Botanical Garden Bed and Breakfast
I arrived to late afternoon sun, breeze softened by tall pines, jade bay lighting pine boughs from underneath...serene scenes in all directions.
Sat by firepit area, then on deck to take in views of the water just yards below... Entrance to home offers convenient landing area for letting bags and shoes rest, then you can move left to the living-room "dome" or right into the airy kitchen - both directions have wide windows to take in the scenery you have just come in from and comfortable places to sit, eat, read, play games or work on your art. Good WIFI signal.
Kitchen is well-appointed for making all meals - if you don't take advantage of the excellent area restaurants. The aesthetic is easy on all the senses, and there is signage about how to use amenities there, as well as useful information about what to do in the area, including an important draw: this place is a 2-MINUTE DRIVE FROM THE BOOTHBAY BOTANICAL GARDENS!!!
Awesome quiet spot to get away to rest, meet friends, or base out of to conduct your area business. Highly recommend the Dome House in Boothbay and will return, thank you!
Yes the area was very pet friendly, the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the outside seating and fire pit was really nice . We had a fabulous stay !!!
We loved the riverside location, and our wildlife sightings included a bald eagle and heron. The home was comfortable, well appointed with directions on how to use the amenities. The artwork was lovely and contributed to the artsy design of the Dome home. We had a wonderful stay.

The Dome House
The house was great! So peaceful and quiet! We totally enjoyed our stay, and woukd definitely stay again
IT was great being able to find a place for the one night we were in town that was so unique and convenient. Definitely a gem. We hope to visit again soon and possibly stay longer to enjoy its beauty.
Wonderful and interesting spot. Beautiful woods and river with a lovely deck to enjoy them. Artwork throughout the house. Helpful notes and instructions made finding things and using the house easy.
This cozy dome home at the end of the road was the perfect spot for our stay in Boothbay. We especially loved the light filled and spacious living room for gathering and games. Eating dinner on the deck was divine. It's close proximity to the botanical gardens was another bonus. We will definitely stay here again.
