"Es war auch nicht genug Besteck/Teller/Tassen für alle da. Kaum sachen zum Kochen oder sauber machen. Dabei wäre gerade ein anständiger wischmopp da echt nötig gewesen. Unser Haus war leider auch bei bezug nicht sauber und das Bad schon richtig verkalkt/verschimmelt. Würde wir auf keinen fall nochmal hin fahren. "The hotel is in a wonderful location along the sea and was close to everything. Our room facing the sea was outstanding and we enjoyed time on the small deck. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had good variety and was tasty. This is a gem of a hotel and we would most definitely stay here again."

"Lovely staff, fantastic location, and great breakfast! There's a lot going on in the square, but we didn't have any issues with noise when we were sleeping. The building is beautiful and we loved being able to walk right through town. Also very helpful with parking instructions and made the offsite parking a breeze!! Can't wait to be back!"

"The room was good. The breakfast was very good. We didn’t eat dinner as we preferred to go out to somewhere smaller. The pool was excellent but didn’t use the sauna because it was expensive, I don’t need to spend 3 hours in a sauna. There’s been plenty of hotels were they have been included or cheaper."

"The staff was completely uncaring and unhelpful. There was no ventilation in our room. None at all. When I asked at the front desk I was told someone would take a look at it. When I asked again an hour later they said they called to have it inspected. When we got back from. dinner no one had been there. When I checked again with the front desk (in person since the phone did not work) I was told it was inspected and nothing was wrong. I was told that all of the rooms were the same temperature and it was suggested i sleep with the windows open. There was an obvious error code on the thermostat and all of the other rooms had their patio doors closed so I assumed their climate was working. So I was lied to twice by the front desk. And they were very smug and rude about everything. Even at check in. We have been all over the world in many hotels and have never been treated so poorly. Yes. The pool and location is great but does not even begin to compensate for the staff behavior at the price. This was our sixth visit to Portoroz and I will never stay at this hotel again. There are much better choices."

"This is a beautiful property with a with a long history that’s worth looking into. The staff was fantastic. The rooms were beautiful however buyer beware during the time that we were there they had no air-conditioning and it was extremely uncomfortable and hot overnight. During the early evening, the town lost power had which caused alarms in town to go off all night long, which made it impossible to keep the windows open. I called the front desk and they told me that in April they don’t turn the AC on other than that. The food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was excellent."
