Très bonne adresse.

Bien placé cet hôtel de qualité nous a permis de passer un excellent séjour. Une petite touche négative , le prix de petit déjeuner excessif 15 euros et qui pour ce prix n'est pas au niveau .

Great place to relax!

My wife and I stayed for two nights over Easter and had a wonderful relaxing time. The room was delightful and the hotel facilities were perfect. The breakfast was very nice with lots of variety. We had dinner in the dinning room and the food and service was good. Nice place to unwind for a couple of days.

Overpriced pousada with bad service !

Very nice pousada with fansastic view ! Rooms with view is very nice - ask for that ...! The total service on this pousada is VERY low and the food and wine are over-priced ! I wonder if there really is a cook in the Breakfast were nice ! Sorry byt there is a very long way to Michelin Stars !!

Away from the madding crowds

Perfect location for relaxation and spiritual retreat. this convent was renovated with exquisite taste mixing the original flavor and contemporary style.The estate offers superb views of the country side. Spectacular colours of vineyards during the fall season . Very good service in breakfast and dining rooms.

Choice and price of food.

I was very happy with this hotel as a whole, and I am sure I will be staying there again, but I was very disappointed with the choice of food, which could definitely be improved, also I thought the food was a little overpriced for what it was.

Another good Pousanda

We stayed here whilst touring Northern Portugal. This is one of 3 Pousandas we stayed in, all were good. This one had the charm and character we expected. The grounds and pool were lovely. The staff all spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. We had a standard room which was more than adequate with good facilities and very clean. Breakfast was buffet style and good. The evening meal was excellent with good local food and traditional Portuguese food. Nice local village for a stroll around

This Pousada is five star in all areas!

After three weeks of traveling in Portugal, I have to say that the Convento Vila Pouca da Biera was one of my most memorable stops. It is a little difficult to find out in the country, but it will be well worth you effort. Not only is the hotel five star on my list, but the staff makes you feel a as though we were there top priority in every way. Maria, the Pousada Manager, took the time to make certain we were comfortable and well attended to, and even though there is little to do in the immediate area, driving to the small villages nearby offer many scenic opportunities. This historic facility is so well maintained. It made you feel as though you have stepped back into the medieval times. We would not hestitate to make this recommend this hotel with our highest rating.

Nice and interesting

It is located in country side, so that if anyone is interested to explore Portugal country side beauty, this is a good one. This one does not like one in Estremoz that tried to keep inside "old time", this one had modern hotel inside in old convent. breakfast was nice.

A Beautiful spot

It was an idyllic relaxing holiday with a lovely pool set in the middle of a vineyard. The hotel staff were helpful and spoke excellent english. The dinner and wine selection was great. The old convent building is much better than the photos. Highly recommended. There a charming historic museums, roman ruins and historic town centres nearby.

Hôtel atypique au milieu des montagnes

Les pousadas sont d'anciens couvents ou monastères reconvertis en hôtel. C'est donc un hôtel atypique et magnifique (possédant même une chapelle). Il est situé au milieu des montagnes de la Serra da Estrela, l'endroit est très calme. Il est entouré de vignes et sa piscine est très grande. Certaines chambres avec balcon permettent d'admirer la vallée et les montagnes environnantes. L'hôtel possède un parking gratuit et les petits déjeuner sont très bons. Le restaurant est digne d'un grand restaurant (ses prix sont en conséquence). Le personnel de réception parle français et est très agréable. C'est l'endroit idéal si vous désirez passer du temps dans un lieu calme et confortable. Emplacement idéal également pour les randonneurs (je vous conseille de passer par le "Barragem de santa Luzia")
