"Sadly I had a very bad experience at this hotel and do not believe it should be on Hotels.com. It really isn’t a hotel - more like a spare room in someone’s house. The temperature outside was 37 degrees (and didn’t drop below 27 degrees all night), but the A/C in the room was broken and all there was to try to keep you cooler was a very old fan. "This is a unique property set on a hilltop overlooking Lake Varese. It is very peaceful and truly a grand property that has old meeting new. The hotel is a historic property so note that it has all that is charming and wonderful about being an older property and don’t expect the latest smart tv, etc. The pool area is fabulous and we enjoyed the meals at both the hotel dining room and pool bar area. Highly recommended!"
