Very nicely remodeled 1920s?!? house. We were very comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms and other rooms are large. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Everything we needed and nicely decorated.
We had a nice stay at the capital house. It is starkly furnished with minimal kitchen necessities (4 glasses and 5 coffee mugs). Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. Took a while to figure out the door lock. Thank you for sharing your house.
We stayed here with another couple who were also celebrating their wedding anniversary. The house was the perfect size for the four of us and located close to the Devon Tower, where we had dinner reservations. When we pulled in, I was a bit surprised that this cute house was in a less-than-desirable neighborhood. We never felt unsafe; it was just a little sketchy. The grass needed mowed and we did see a bug or teo in the house, but overall nice and clean and smelled good when we entered. Not very well appointed, though. No regular coffee; just flavored k-cups and no wine glasses. Towels were sparse, but not a huge deal, since we were only there one night. Perfectly fine, updated house, but certainly nothing special, or any “extras”.
Thankfully we were only there for one night. The house has been renovated very nicely & doesn’t look like it belongs in the neighborhood it’s in. However, it was not very clean and the neighborhood is questionable.
There was no heat on when we got there very cold took awhile to heat the house up. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner. Mgmt monitors who comes in out. We had a Christmas dinner with my son and grandkids didn’t think it was a big deal. Mgmt called thought we were having a party which we wasn’t. Didn’t appreciate being monitored.
House was hot, thermostat reading room temperature 80 degrees, battery low, replaced batteries in thermostat, still not properly cooling, attempted to reach host several times via phone, text, finally reached host after third phone attempt, host sounded asleep, incoherent, never came to resolve issue. Place finally cooled down in the morning but the night was very uncomfortable.
