My family stayed here for a week at the end of July. The hotel is definitely a no frills place but it was clean and the front desk was friendly. The location was perfect and although we had to park a block away it wasn’t a bad walk. My only complaint would be that housekeeping didn’t do a very good job cleaning the rooms and didn’t clean every day which isn’t good when there is sand! We had to go ask for towels several days! My recommendation for the hotel Would be to keep a broom and dustpan in each room so we could sweep the sand off the floors. All in all we would stay here again though!

The property is not well maintain at all. Furnitures were outdated, toilet and mini fridge was not working properly and had to be called to get fixed multiple times. However, they were friendly and outstanding housekeepers.

WE DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THERE WOULD BE A VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF OUR ROOM!! THE VIEW WAS BREATHTAKING, BEING SO CLOSE TO THE LIT UP FERRIS WHEEL AT NIGHT. WE WERE IN WALKING DISTANCE TO OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS. THERE WERE MORE TV STATIONS THAN MOST HOTELS HAVE. WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN!

The Ocean 1 is a no frills, older hotel in a great location. It's right on the beach and gives you a great view of the sunrise. The heater didn't work (it was still chilly out) but the staff quicky got us a space heater that worked fine. The toilet seat cover was broken and the toilet roll holder was also, but wasn't a big deal. For the price and location, it worked for us. It was clean and the room was nice. I would stay there again.

Stayed for 3 nights with my 13 yr.ild daughter. The property location is great near the boardwalk, close to the beach and other shops. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars: parking is not great. I was under the impression that there was parking on site. Only to be told there is a parking lot about 2blocks away😳. Because we arrived around 6pm we unloaded our luggage then I had to go park the car then come back to officially check in. The younger gentleman at the front desk was not very inviting. He barely greeted us and acted as if he was annoyed to be there! My encounter with the other staff was great! Sorry I didn't get anyone's name. No breakfast here, had a hard time with the iron in my room as the cord would not stay extended, which caused me to sit on the floor to use the iron and ironing board. Not a fancy hotel but our room was clean and it served its purpose for 3 nights. Also nice balconies could see the ocean from our room.

Upon arriving, the room smelled badly like cigarette smoke but it went away after a day or two. The room could have been a little cleaner but that's most hotels, especially here. The staff were all absolutely wonderful, including the house keeping ladies! Our room had a Jacuzzi in it, but it's so loud that we literally just didn't use it, its uncomfortably loud. Balcony looked like it would be private also based on the picture they have posted with our room, but it was fully open and shared, lots of weed smells lol & for some reason, every single night between 10pm-2am there was something big being slid around in the employee only room next to ours, we were on the 5th floor and the one side is just employees only areas, but it was quite annoying.
