Condo Rentals in Oaxaca

"The good stuff: staff at the pool and on the beach were great--very attentive without being overbearing. Food was solid. Breakfast at Marea was delicious. The rest: The lobby is a disaster--the desk is weirdly pushed back into a corner and is overrun with folks having to trade their towel card (don't dare lose it--$25 fine!) in for towels as you're trying to check-in--why not have the towels available at the pool?. Parking is haphazard and the security guards are brusque to say the least-although two women who let you into the lot were friendly. A promised bellhop never showed up. A lousy welcome across the board. Our "superior" room (#9, btw) had a view of the side of a car, unusable wifi, no phone in room to call for service (had to call via WhatsApp), no hot water, wasn't cleaned for first two days. Couldn't have been further from the pool. It was so disappointing we actually paid for an airbnb and just used the hotel as s a beach club. Talking of which, even though we spent money there everyday on the final night when we left for our other room we were chased by security to settle our tab even though we were supposed to check out in the morning. Just weird. "

"Ocean view was fabulous. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was clean with fresh towels daily and mini bar refilled daily."

"The hotel was great, the staff, the amenities, very clean, great daily warm breakfast nice spread, coffee & tea, they have a 5 gallon water tank where you can fill up your own water bottle. Free laundry all you need to do is buy or bring your own detergent & softner. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, bars. Great location, I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. "

"Everything about las brisas was great! We got a junior king suite with ocean view which was great. Restaurants, the pools, the drinks, the staff, the snorkelling right at the beach. Everything was top notch. One thing to make sure of, bring decent shoes for walking around the resort, Its not flat. Although there is a shuttle thats always driving around you can hop on to get around if you dont feel like walking."
