This place is a clean, quiet, comfortable hotel and I was surprised at the price very affordable. We checked in the front desk attendant was nice and friendly made check in quick which was much appreciated. And it has a very big TV up on the wall compared to most hotels that have a small one on a table. I will definitely be making this one of my stops again on my next trip.

Convenient to the highway and close to the lake where we spent our time. The front desk person was very accommodating to what we needed. The place is clean and quiet during the night it was a nice place to get a good night sleep. Thank you! We had a great time all together.

Great bargain, new ownership is fantastic!

Pros - amazing new ownership and management. They are working on community building and updating the motel. Room was very clean and they were very accommodating. Comfortable bed. Cons - motel is dated for sure.

A one-night stay at the Hill Crest. It is an older facility--small rooms, but clean and well-managed. The staff was friendly and helpful. THey earned my future business.

This is an old school motel. The room was older decor but so very clean and comfy. The front desk person was very kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you aren't a princess.

Nice park at the door motel.

This is a park at your room door motel which is great especially for a one night stay. Quiet room. The room lacked bedside lighting and convenient electrical plugs but I carry extension cords and an extra small lamp. Frig with freezer section.

This is an older motel that is being renovated. The location is safe and convenient. The AC kept the room cool, and the room had a refrigerator with a top freezer. Also there was a microwave and large screen TV / internet.

It worked for what we needed to break up the long drive to Colorado but the place could use some updates or repairs. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived late and had some good communication ahead of time. Town had more available gas stations and things than we expected.

Well priced, clerk/owner was very friendly at our late hour check-in. Read reviews and saw it was under new ownership can easily see they’ve done some updating but will take time to do every unit. Who cares if the bathroom tile is pink or wall paper is dated (our unit was dated but with some clear updates) was clean and comfortable 👍 best of luck to this establishment!

Hotel is next to a freeway. Somewhat noisy. No restaurants nearby. Served my purpose - but far from anything. (I wanted a hotel on the south side of the city so that I can avoid the traffic to Houston the day before 4th July.)

The Great rate attracted me to the property. I absolutely loved the Hillcrest! Chris and family Took over the property in February and has been putting in upgrades. It’s not finished yet and furious to the Marriott is probably not gonna be your gig, but I absolutely loved it. Nostalgic type of and the rooms were comfortable and cool. A huge TV and a good size mini fridge or just perfect. But the best thing was I was able to walk my dogs all around and for parents there’s a park right next-door.

We were given two queen beds (we thought we were getting one) that was a pleasant surprise. The bedding looked good and smelled very fresh. This was more important to me than the other things that were lacking.The only ice machine did not work. There was no phone to call the front desk. Our outside front door was missing the lower glass section. The outside door did not shut completely. We got what we paid for. So overall for the price, I can not complain. There was a residential area behind the motel and it allowed us to go for a nice walk after driving all day.

2nd Stay - Very Disappointing

I have stayed at this motel once prior on a cross country trip. It was a good value that time - dated but clean. And because its a motel I can park right outside the door, which helps with getting the dogs into the room with my bags. My room this time (room #29) was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty, had horribly stained carpet and walls, and missing paint. Beds didnt have blankets - only sheets and bedspread. It was midnight and i had only four hours to sleep, so i stayed. But wow, what a dump. I cannot believe management would rent this room out.
