Hotel was closed for renovations. We had no prior notification of this before we arrived to check in. Poor communication on both the hotels part and hotels.com. We had paid in advance. We lost a day of our vacation in Charelston and had to find new accommodations on our own. Very bad experience. We spoke to some at the hotel as UPS was making a delivery, just by chance, before delivery they would not answer the door.Please look in to this as we need a refund or compensation for our notes stay.

We went to the hotel based on a review that said "If you get a fabulous deal . . . " Well, we got a fabulous deal and found out why. The hotel is undergoing construction/remodeling and this is present throughout. While our room was clean, the carpet in the hallway was stained. The hallway was dark and dingy. Only 1 elevator worked and it was noisy. The breakfast was underwhelming; there was not hot water to make tea, no knives to cut waffles, and no one was watching the breakfast area.
The staff at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. The room was very comfortable, which was surprising given the condition of the hallway.
My recommendation would be to wait until the hotel is fully renovated before paying full price. For what we paid, it was servicable.

Hurricane damage...working to make it better
This area sustained considerable damage because of the hurricane. We spent one night but we did not have hot water and the elevator worked intermittently. They manager refunded our evenings stay costs and offered to put us up in another hotel if we planned on staying longer.
It is not fair to rate this hotel at this time. They tried their best to make it right. I wish them luck with their repairs because this is going to take awhile. Feeling blessed that we do not experience this force of nature.
The reviews that I based my hotel stay did not reflect the actual condition of this hotel upon arrival. This hotel is undergoing a large renovation due to flood damage from Hurricane Matthew. It appears to have been a Radisson prior. The hotel smells musty and the carpet needs replacing. The staff was kind enough. It's nearby a less than desirable area in North Charleston and is on a busy road
Room was nice, Libby was beautiful but there was a bullet hole in the window. I noticed it when I woke up the next day to pull the curtains back...everything else was nice
The hotel was under construction. It was old and run down. The sleep number beds were deflated and broken. The staff was unprofessional and unattentive.
Looked at the pictures and thought, WOW! Nice place, good rate, done. NOPE! Place was awful. Woman at checkin was great though. Very nice. Foul smell in the room, carpet was stained in multiple areas, elevator was sketchy, etc. Not good.
Older hotel with convention center was undergoing remodel/repair. Condition overall was good and they made parking arrangements next door. No restaurant, although they had one once. A little hard to figure out access, but near Interstate. Room air con/heater fan was EXTREMELY noisy and bathroom door sticks. Not a good neighborhood.

Hotel was in very poor condition. The facility needs to be remodeled. Room was clean. Sleep comfort bed did not work. The condition of this hotel during this time of stay would be rated at 2 star.
We are very disappointed!! After driving for 20 hours we get here to find out the pool is closed, no buffet breakfast, the lights don't work in the bathroom, the tables and night stands were nasty, no towels, over all sucks!!!!!!! We picked this hotel for the indoor pool and buffet for our grandson and now the trip is a total disappointment!!
Why didn't Hotel.com or the Hotel inform us before we got here!! Too late to change Hotels and cannot afford to just walk away!!!
Will never use Hotel.com again!! Your customer service sucks!! You should have informed us of these conditions!!
The room is clean and comfortable to stay. The service of staffs is not so good, but it's OK considering the reasonable price.

Made reservations online 3 weeks prior. Upon arrival had to wait a while before being given key to room. Go to 7th floor room 709, someone was in there. Had to go back to lobby and get another key and headed back up to 703. Very tired from 10 hr trip. Didn't need this inconvenience.

They did not honor reservation made 2 days prior to our arrival and did not notify Expedia of the issue. We were left without a room. Would not recommend booking here.
If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would. We checked in late after our flight and the front desk woman could not have been more unfriendly. I don't think she even looked me in the eye or asked how I was. She did however give us a room that was already occupied. Aftwr the awkwardness of opening a room someone else was in, when I informed the front desk (in person) about this mistake, she didn't even apologize (or look me in the eye) and just handed me a new key. I can't say that has ever happened to me before and we were appalled. Aside from the poor service, the room resembles a motel 6 with dirtier carpet, sheets with stains and a ceiling with mold of some sort. The beds were even worse. Lumpy and a groove in the middle.
Do not stay here unless you really have no other choice. Beyond disappointed in our decision. Thankfully it was only one night
