An excellent place to stay and highly recommended

For us, it was the personal touch that made our stay at The Ridge exceptional; from the linen sheets, to the fresh towels, to the bathroom accessories. Teneille is an excellent host who is friendly and welcoming. The view across the valley to the bay is wonderful and the location is perfect.

Rooms catered for our needs in a simple but elegant and comfortable way. Lovely Robert Gordon pottery and linens hopefully give an idea. Outlook with views of rolling countryside and the sea were what we were after, and needed, to completely relax and forget anything back home allowing us to just enjoy the peace and quiet, the clean air, birds out the back. The Ridge was just perfect for our Norfolk Island holiday The cottages are beautifully renovated with such attention to detail and extra special touches such as Flax linen sheets, lovely waffle cotton dressing gowns, Byron Bay tea and luxury hair products. Phill and Tennielle are the perfect hosts and nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely recommend staying at The Ridge.

The Ridge apartments are nicely located with a beautiful view. The apartments are recently renovated and have everything you need with some nice decoration touches. We understand the challenges of having the property upgraded with new window frames or a shower cabin. We also appreciated how easy it was to arrange a hire car for us. Thanks for a very pleasant stay and all the best in future.

Great Ocean View. The Balcony. The Owner,Brian. Very helpful. He supplied me with a phone. The Credits lasted for 6 days. And he picked me up and returned me to the Airport. He was so helpful. I could not fault the accommodation.

The hosts Brian and Jeanette were so kind and friendly. The unit provided everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. The best thing however was the incredible view and peaceful surroundings. Loved every minute.

The ocean and paddock views from the apartment were lovely, a real treat. However the driveway and grounds were very overgrown and in need of some TLC and it looked nothing like this picture. The apartment itself was well set out, but also looked like it needed some TLC. For the price it was good value, but i’d Look a little further afield if I went to NI again.

expedia room description incorrect

when I booked hotel with Expedia I checked room description carefully. room description stated wifi and cable tv this was not the case. We had a oceanview unit which had an amazing view bu I really wanted wifi as stipulated by Expedia.

Best Value on Norfolk Island

Loved our stay. Great value with wonderful outlook. Basic accommodation yet comfortable and well equipped. Friendly hosts and in a great position to explore the island. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Too many spiderwebs and cockroaches

The sheets and towels were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the view was lovely. We liked the kitchenette but it was not very clean. Very grimy, lots of spider webs, spider poo, daddy long legs spiders, cockroach poo and giant black cockroaches! The same for the bathroom. The hosts were friendly, but neglected to give us some basic information that we needed. Lots of things didn't work : clock, toaster, television, front doorknob. Location was good and the apartment was nice and private. We were also allowed to keep the room all day until our flight left, which was good. But we wouldn't go back there.

Perfect!

This place was perfect for what I needed. I am a young traveller to Norfolk and I had an absolute blast! Jeannette was lovely and very helpful, the accommodation was neat and clean and I even got upgraded as there was a vacancy in the 1 bedroom apartment. The view of the ocean and the mountains was amazing, beautiful gardens and situated in a quite location, very close to town but far enough away that it was rural and blissful.
