Amazing staff and a great property. Super convenient to get to the base of Niseko Village and start your ski day from the Hilton gondola

We can not recommend this accom enough, it is so close to a great coffee shop, bus stops, and the slopes. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely be back!
We loved our stay at SnowDog. The staff was so kind, responsive, and helped us to book ski passes, ski rentals, ski lessons, transportation, and dining during our 5 day stay. It was so nice to have a kitchen set up in our suite, and ski storage and life shuttle service, for such a great price. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
Very helpful staff.
We used Takyubin service to and from Snow Dog Village and they took care of delivering our snowboard bags into our room when we arrived and also when we left.
We rented a one bedroom condo in January of 26. The communication and support provided by Vacation Niseko in advance of travel was immediate and thorough, so our shuttle to Niseko and then to Snow Dog Village was seamless. The staff at Snow Dog were extremely helpful both from a facilities/shuttle standpoint as well as helpful intel on where to ski across the mountain.
The condo itself was very clean, and all amenities worked fine. Was very nice to have a washer/dryer for a week’s stay, and a working kitchen so we could relax and manage our own day in the mornings.
In my opinion Snow Dog is high value for the location and level of service. I looked at a number of options in the area and Snow Dog is extremely affordable when compared to the Hilton or other Hirafu rentals. You are a little isolated compared to being in central Hirafu but to be honest, we found skiing Niseko Village and Annupuri to be our favorite areas with fewer crowds. Excellent trade-offs!
Can’t say enough about the staff at Snow Dog. They were a delight to interact with and were happy to humor a couple of old farts. We will be back!
We didn't. The staff is fantastic and SnowDog Village, our condo was really nice and the free shuttle to and from Niseko Village was helpful. Without a car, however, it was difficult to get to a market and restaurants. Also, there was a restaurant onsite at one time that was closed when we stayed. Very quiet and close to the slopes.
Fantastic, wonderful staff!! Would love to have an outdoor hot tub, but if it needs/preferred to be solar powered I know it is challenging in the winter. Possibly a welcome beverage in the room and a small selection of tea/coffee for the first day before we had a chance to go shopping?
The staff went above and beyond to help us on our check-in and check-out days as we stayed during off season with no car, we felt super welcomed. The condo was much larger than we expected (for Japanese standards), and we loved that it had a stocked kitchen and in-unit laundry. The smart TV was also a perk. Cute little restaurant just around the corner, beautiful Mountain View’s from all windows, and the local bus stop about a block away. Even better, the Takahashi Dairy milk KOBO was only about a ten minute walk and they have THE BEST ice cream we have probably had in our lives, you’ve gotta check it out.
Excellent customer service. New building and our suite had everything required for a great stay. All in one laundry /dryer a bonus. Absolutely recommend a car for flexibility. Taxi service not reliable during the busy season. Extremely close to niseko village and only impediment to ski in/ski out is the unfortunate, but equally reasonable, ban on road skiing. Thanks snow dog
Good shuttle service to and from the slopes.
We ordered breakfast packs a few days but did not expect it to come as late as it did (after noon) which meant that we did not have any breakfast on the first day of our stay. It would have been nice to know that we should have ordered it a day in advance for it to be available on the next day’s morning.
The rooms are very clean and the laundry is next level; there is a washer AND dryer as one unit in each room so you can put your things in overnight while you sleep and they are clean for the next day! If you want to cook there is a full on kitchen, dishes, stove and fridge in each room as well and Apple TV and good Wi-Fi - anything you could need really
The staff really do go above and beyond. They picked us up from our airport shuttle drop off and they would take us to the mountain every day we needed! They are so accommodating
Not only that, they actually let us store luggage after we checked out for the day until our next rental came up and they even dropped us with our luggage off at our next rental location. Seriously the best experience and service I’ve ever had from a stay facility.
Very fair pricing- probably the best pricing in this town, and I think I will stay here each year now.
Also if you like dogs they have a couple very sweet small dogs in the office. Please help this business thrive everyone; they are really the best.
Everything was good the only complaint I had were the shuttle times. It was from 8-11am and then they took a long break and didn’t pick back up until 3:3
The room was perfect for my snowboarding trip. Comfortable bed, great shower, and the kitchenette and washer / dryer in unit were perfect. Staff was communicative and very helpful.
There is not much around the area as far as stores or restaurants, and transportation without a car requires some planning.
Room was spotless. The staff helpful and friendly. The shuttle to Niseko Hilton Gondola allowed us to have a car free stay. The only downsides were that the exit light over the door was very bright and we needed to wear eyeshades in order to sleep. Also something in the closet (water heater ?) made a constant high pitched noise that wasn’t very pleasant, although we were able to use earplugs to sleep. We did appreciate the nesspresso pods for sale at reception since we didn’t have a car and arrived on a late bus, so didn’t have the chance to buy groceries when we arrived. On that note it might also be nice to be able to purchase packets of salt, sugar and creamer, butter etc. Just because it’s hard to buy only a 4 or 5 day supply of these kind of staples. We did have a lovely time. Thanks !!
Everything was completely as expected. It’s kind of a no frills lodging more like an apartment complex than a village. But clean, warm, quiet, and comfortable. There are a few places to eat nearby, but mostly you’ll need to take the bus. If you buy a lift pass from the resort, you can use it on the bus but be sure not to use it the night before you plan to use it for skiing or that will void it for the next day. Wait until the morning of ski day to buy your pass to avoid that. Buses stop running fairly early so if you plan to stay out late, you’ll take your chances with a private car. Staff there were super helpful and easy to contact and spoke English well. No onsen in the area, the two closest required transportation, close to the bus route. I wondered why the staff and welcome book recommended traveling to Hirafu for amenities and didn’t even mention Niseko village, until we went there. Very overpriced, bougie, not high-quality food. So that explained it. If you’ve never skied Niseko before learn about the gate system and side country skiing before you go.
