Although in the historic district it was just inside - long way to walk - this designation was misleading. Host did not provide face cloths made of cloth, they supplied paper face cloths that I just to use for camping. The shower ran cold, to wait until it got hot ended up flooding the floor. I waited outside the shower for it to get warm and had to use the bath towel to wipe up the floor as the shower itself is misdirected. The bed was comfortable & there was lots of room to store clothes. I asked for a fly swatter but one wasn’t provided. Bringing in our luggage resulted in allowing in flies and mosquitoes another memory of camping but we hadn’t brought bug spray just a warning for future summer time guests. Parking was tricky for our SUV - the room is located on what is at certain times a busy curved street - getting in and out of the parking spot was challenging. We were too far away from the city core to walk in the heat so had to take our car. Because the room was designated as in the historic area we thought we could walk, we are an older couple and walking the distance to the Shaw Theatre and the peach festival celebrations was simply not possible. This next point was my fault, I assumed wrongly that this room (described as a suite) also served breakfast, it did not and was not advertised as a B&B, as I said this was my fault. Be very careful of booking any place in Niagara-on-the-Lake especially concerning breakfast, parking and location.
