Wonderful ocean and sunset views with potential for amazing sunrise viewing. Operations, upkeep and repairs are in need of streamlining. Prepare yourself for the distance away by hiring a local driver or renting a car to go into town to eat as food and services are untimely and may not be reliable.

High life, up top

I visited with my mother and brother aged 13 for two nights over New Years. The hotel is located up in the hills of the West End, providing a lovely view of the sea - the perfect place to relax and unwind indeed, although you could venture out with it only being 10 minutes from the West End strip. We stayed in the majestic room, which offered a minimalistic living room design, being fresh and airy. All staff, from the bartenders to the waiters to the housekeeping and maintenence staff, were friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were exquisite. A recommended location!

View and general aesthetics of the property was good. The pool was clean and grounds staff was polite. Service otherwise was poor with limited food options. No soap, coffee etc provided in the luxury suite. Staff was not available to provide breakfast that was paid for. Dinner had only two options, rice and peas with either chicken or shrimp and was overpriced (more than 5 star restaurants in the area). Toilet was not working in master suite and we were inconvenienced to have someone fix. There were coins under the bed sheets apparently from a previous guest. Overall poor rating.

All the staff were very nice. property cosmetics from afar looked great, but up close needs a lot of maintenance. No hot water in the room only two towels for four people. nothing to sit on in room besides bed. had a closet no hangers nothing to set suitcases on. We were only guests at the resort and they couldn't even move us to a room with hot water or fix it. we were a day late because of airline issues not the resorts fault but you would think that they could have offered to upgrade us to a better room, four adults one king bed one twin. food was very good but took over an hour to get, there again only guests at the resort. LOTS of steps would not recommend to anyone with issues going up and down stairs. that too being mentioned they clearly saw my folks in their 80s were having trouble with all the steps. perhaps this too should have been another thought lets move them to a room with less steps, hot water, and better beds. they set us up with a driver for the days we were there. He was amazing absolutely recommend him to anyone going to Jamaica for the "real" experience knowledgeable, informative, friendly, patient. Thank you to Jinx you made the trip worthwhile. The staff showed us to our room and never took the time to share anything else with us. even after requesting things and asking questions, Nothing. Could be a really nice resort but would never stay again. Shout out to Gary the bar tender. Thanks for making our stay much better.

The property itself is gorgeous and in a secluded location, there is a pool and lovely terrace. Unfortunately there were some issues with this hotel. The Wifi was completely down, the TV was ran through the Wifi so this meant we also had no TV. With a 14 year old this was not fun at all, I am also self employed and use my laptop to run my business and I was unable to work while here. The directions are completely wrong, it took us 2 hours to find it, luckily locals directed us. We kept calling the office and it was going to answer phone. I went upstairs to get drinks to take to the room, the bottles of water were warm. Someone was knocking our door at 9.30pm and then again we had a knock at 2am which we didnt answer. The rooms are gorgeous with a stunning room, but unless your a book reader this place probably isn't great for you!

I strongly advise against this hotel. We had booked a quadruple deluxe room with two large beds. The hotel gave us a classic room with two small single beds. What's more, the state of the room was filthy, cockroaches in the room, no garbage can in the bathroom. Property to be avoided!

Power went out my last night, no backup system, No Security on property checking on guest,I really think I was the only guest there that night, So I did not sleep, I was afraid to and it was hot as hell, I’m not blaming the resort for the outage, but they have to do better in having a backup system .You live and learn never again!!

This property truly misses the mark. Our first night was marred by a loud noise from the AC the entire night. Finally, morning came so we could open the door for some breeze to get some sleep AND it was only met with jackhammering all day. The Second night, the noise on the AC was fixed but the AC was not cooling. So for me, it is a very strong pass. I spoke to staff and a simple "sorry" is all we got and emailed as well but still have not heard back from anyone.
