Not for everyone

Hotel did not look nothing like the pictures on the internet, bar was closed, restaurant was closed souvenir shop was closed. no iron was available. asked for a ground floor and was put on the first floor.

Faulty Towers

The Hotel needs fixing up and decorating and they advertised having a pool but it was empty and we was told they was cleaning it and it would be ready in a few Days but they lied to all the guests so we never got to use the pool the whole time we was there and they was no bar or restaurant, the hotel needs closing down it such a shame because it could be a fantastic hotel.

Great break for kids and to get away from it all

it was a welcommed break from visiting family in Jamaica, having time away was ideal. The kids loved the pool and if they had there way would have spent all day in the pool. Staff lovely - helped us with directions at the taxi driver got lost. They always had a smile and would ask us everyday if we needed anything. will be going back again next year this time for longer than a week.

Needs renovations

I stayed in one Rm & had no ceiling fan, or AC, but they repaired the AC to only have it go out again, but once I was moved to another Ocean View Room, I had no problems & I had no problems with any of the Staff or Desk Managers, the only one that gave me the impression, they didn't want to be bothered was Jennifer. I had asked her for a blanket & never heard anything back from her. Otherwise, no complaints & I got my Blanket from the Night Manager & the Rooms were once beautiful, I Love the high ceilings, it could use some cosmetic work, patching up the holes in the ceiling & updating some things, but otherwise I was fine

You may say "how bad can it be" Trust me it's BAD.

1. No towels in room so you go to the desk everyday for 2. No phone in any of the rooms, so all the complaining will have to be done several times by walking to the front desk. No iron or ironing board, they say there are only 10 irons to share for 200 rooms, so you camp out in the lobby to wait for one to be returned. AC is controlled by the front desk, so you will have to walk to tell them it's too hot or cold. Limited hot water, TV did not work the first 2 days. The manager was nowhere to be found. Pool was dirty with debris all around.... I could go on and on

horrifying it was like the hotel was closed down and opened up just for the weekend. It was dirty they never changed the sheets pool was dirty no food no iron no internet. When the power went out no one came and checked if we were ok or tell us what the problem was. A motel in North America is better than this place spend the extra and be comfortable.

Do not book this hotel

The room did not have a secure door. the glass in the door was broken .The pool was green. the grounds was not maintained, This hotel should not be sold on any internet sight. The over all condition is deplorable and in need of extensive repair.

Horrible stay at Caribbean Sunset Resort.

I got to the hotel about 2:45PM, a room was not avialable until one hour and half later, they gave me alot of false story about why the room was not ready, when we final got to hte room thier was no, towel, wash cloth, working TV or light bulbs, the floor was dirty, the toilet bowl was rusted, the pool area was dirty and all the chair were broken, this hotel is fit for prisoner this is not a resorthis.

I travel to negril at twice a year. Booked this hotel at the last minute. With out question- The worst hotel in Negril. The bathroom is a horror. NO STARS!!!! Take this off your site.

1) I was unaware of the $10/day charge for the air conditioner that i had to pay once i got there. 2) The room was not swept nor cleaned very well 3) The first Oceanview room we were given had a very old bathroom and when i flushed the toilet the floor flooded. We brought it to the front desk attention and we were immediately given a new room. This one had a very nice bathroom 4) When our room was cleaned daily they would remove the towels & forget to bring us up replacement towels.

I have decided to stay at the Caribbean Sunset Resort because I thought it was a good place to stay and the price was within my budget range, my stay was okay overall because of the location and site seeing convenience. The only thing is that the resort itself needs more improvement in most areas, but most importantly they should cover the chairs and beds with plastic so it can be disinfect easily

My only hotel for Negril!!! staff is the best!!

Been coming here for 4years and am so happy when I arrive. Staff so friendly and remember me each time. Love seeing the renovations going on...Must say that Jerome is the best!! He always takes such good care of us when we come. Feel like long lost family when I return to visit. BEST AND ONLY PLACE FOR ME IN NEGRIL!!!

HOTEL TO AVOID

This hotel is a hole in the wall. Hot water are only available on their time. No internet in room as stated. Rooms are not safe and can easily break into, some show signs of tampering with. Safe deposit box are available in rooms but none have key. I would not go back there. Security are lock away sleep especially at nights. My feeling is the ones incharge know the situation but could careless and refuse to fix the problems
