We really enjoyed our stay. We had two rooms. The property was run down but beautiful and the staff was nice and very accommodating. Rooms were great, the staff was helpful in letting us know the balcony with sunset view was street side so lounder than back side balcony rooms which were quiet. This stay made us want to call a DIY show and bring this diamond in the rough back to glory! Walking distance to Michelin backed restaurant and Herculaneum. Good base for Mt Vesuvius (20 min/km) and Prompeii (45 min drive). Parking onsite was very convenient and secure.

The room itself was huge and beautiful. Was clean and we were given 4 extra pillows. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The outside of the hotel is in need of much care. The pool area was cluttered and the pool itself was dirty. Seems like the outside of the hotel and property has been neglected…not sure if it’s off season, but definately did not look like the pictures on line.

This hotel has the look and feel of a castle, including a beautiful park. Staff is friendly, cappuccino great, breakfast abundant. It is noisy from the streets, but it is fantastic nonetheless.

What a great staff, friendly and helpful. This is an amazing property though it needs some maintenance and some TLC. Great location in the old part of town and very close to Herculium. View of the Med on one side, view of Visuvius on the other.

The grounds of the hotel are enormous, almost palatial and the room was incredibly spacious with a lovely view, but slightly run down. The air conditioning wasn't very cool, the controls for the jacuzzi didn't work and the door didn't lock Ercolano is a less affluent part of Italy but lying between Pompeii and Herculean makes it an interesting place to visit.

This hotel was probably great in 1970. Room was clean and spacious. Showing signs of wear. Grounds have not been kept up. The pool was great though. No bar as advertised, restaurant was very, very limited. Room was quite warm, air con could not keep up. Would be ok in cooler months.

The restaurant wasn't open for lunch when we arrived and we had to check if we could have dinner as they were hosting a conference. But the staff were all very helpful, lovely and friendly. The resident cat made us smile. We were pleased to have a room with terrace as there was no air conditioning and I think the fridge didn't work. But lovely building and would stay there again, a little oasis in a busy town x

The Deluxe room was very spacious, tall and had good air condition. The bathroom was well equipped and had a window Swimming pool was very nice and good size. Morning and evening swim were relaxing. Breakfast was good and had many varieties. I recommend this hotel to singles, couples and families.

Elegant hotel

We enjoyed our stay.The food was very good, breakfast fine the staff friendly and helpful.An elegant hotel which seems to have been recently refurbished though the bathroom door was difficult to open wide as it caught on the floor.Very conveniently situated for Herculaneum, the railway station and the motorway network.We would stay again.

This is a truly spectacular "palazzo", with somewhat sparse rooms that are large with very high ceilings. The entry is unimpressive (which may be a characteristic of a palazzo in Italy), but the large garden and grounds in the back are spectacular.

This property was BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful hotel and rooms. The only thing is that there’s barely anything to do in it’s surroundings, and it’s deceiving since this is NOT in Napoli, it’s in Ercolano which is a 20 min car ride from Napoli. Transportation from Napoli to Ercolano is very expensive, from 60-80€. Although the hotel is amazing, if you are staying in Napoli; this is not convenient unless you are prepared to face the challenges of the transportation

We booked this hotel with no idea of what to expect other than what we had read in other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at what we found. Large spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a good breakfast selection and welcoming staff. Although a little shabby chic and in need of a little attention don’t let this distract you from what is an overall good experience. When we stayed the swimming pool was out of action but by the end of the week was being refurbished. The surrounding areas of the town give you the experience of true Italian life. The local people are friendly and not once did we feel unsafe. If you’re prepared to do some walking and use the trains to get around it’s great. 2 adults and 2 grown up teenagers on the train to Sorrento from Ercolano Savi train station $13.60 one way. Great way to see the countryside. So in a nutshell, if you’re wanting a 5 star hotel this is not for you but if you’re wanting something more affordable then this is a great place to rest your head.
