On a quiet street one mile from town, this Cape Cod cottage provides three bedrooms with full bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, fireplace, cable TV, patio with furniture, grill and enclosed outdoor shower. The driveway provides parking for three vehicles. There are two bedrooms upstairs one with a queen size bed and the other with twin beds. The downstairs bedroom has twin beds. The downstairs has an open kitchen dining area. This rental allows a maximum of only five days.

The home is in a lovely neighborhood in the countryside that seems normally quiet except that yard people came early while we were there. The home is roomy & we were comfortable despite some issues that I discussed with Mary, the very nice owner. I do wish that I had been offered some detailed info on how to utilize the public transportation because the walk from downtown was quite long & the folks in the downtown Greenhound office were not at all helpful. Overall, we had a comfortable stay & would stay again now that I've learned the ins & outs of Nantucket touristing!

Relaxing place

Second year in a row we’ve stayed here with the family, so we know what we’re getting. Location is a little out of town, but everything is very accessible by bike- beach downtown, Bartlett’s Farm (can’t be missed for sandwiches, pre made dinners, etc). Mary, the owner, is wonderful. A very relaxing place- we love it!

Nice location away from town

Older furnishings but very clean. Nice yard, surrounded by forest to give privacy from neighbors. Quiet area. Our main suggestion would be to provide something other than a half used jar of instant coffee to go with the coffee maker. Some coffee to actually brew would be nice.

Weekend getaway

5 of us total, baggage storage location upon arrival, easy access to the house once the 4:00 check in time occurred, great location that made everything we wanted to do on the trip easy to access. Everything that was stated in the listing was accurate. Mary was so nice and accommodating, even offered to mail items that were left behind.

Overall we had a wonderful time at this property! The location was really central; any easy bike ride to town, the brewery, and the beach! And was very spacious and comfortable for our group of 6. My only comment would be that the listing wasn't completely accurate about the outdoor amenities; the outdoor shower didn't work and that there were two non-functioning gas grills and a charcoal grill without coals in the yard. We booked this house specifically hoping to grill out and make use of the outdoor shower so were bummed when those weren't available! But overall great property and great host.

Wonderful

The minute we set foot I took a nap which I never do. It was super clean, in a great little neighborhood surrounded by beautiful homes and we nestled into this adorable cottage. Plenty of room and all you need. A bit of a throwback in time as it’s very basic and simple and as an interior designer I’d love to revamp it a bit but I enjoyed the simplicity and authenticity. Would stay again.

This home was perfect for our family. I rented this so my two grown children and their family could come over and enjoy Nantucket, plenty of space. We did have a car so getting to jetty’s beach, Bartlett Farm, town and Stop & Shop was easy. The front yard was great for the kids to play. The first night I noticed the outdoor shower in the backyard was broken. I assumed that for the week, we would not have an out door shower but when I let Mary know it was not working she had someone come the next day and it was fixed! It was a great vacation week for us.Thank you Mary,Allison

Was a good stay overall. The neighborhood was nice and the house was nice. The cons would be there was no AC but luckily we didn't have hot days. The stand up ac in master didn't work. The backyard motion light would go on and off all night long. If you have no car be prepared to do some walking to the shuttle which could be challenging for older or handicapped people.. Ubers are always available during the week.
