Bad Wifi and stuffy corridors spoil the mood

Al Majan is not at all expensive so could well be considered by many as a bargain or good for the money you pay. However, I must say that my last stay at this hotel was not so good. The wifi signal all over the hotel is bad. Tjis is not acceptable in our day and age, especially that many business travellers visit Al Majan. Breakfast is 'ok' but the coffee is not going to impress anyone who likes a proper cup of coffee in themorning.

Good hotel

Good service at reception. Room is clean, and WiFi is comfortable. But no toothbrush. Location is good for visiting grand mosque in early morning. It takes about 20 minute walk.

Terrible Hotel Don't Stay There

The hotel arranged transport from the airport to the hotel. The driver was not there we we arrived. We waited and searched and called. Finally they showed up. When we arrived at the hotel on check in the reception did not show us how to get to our rooms or even give us proper directions to get there. The food was not good at breakfast. The best part of the hotel was checking out so I don't need to stay there again.

Not a great hotel.

Very uncomfortable bed, sheets not soft at all, very loud air conditioning. Hotel in a strange location, can't go for a walk anywhere. Decent breakfast. Pool is ok.

Good value for money. pleasant staff, especially cleaning staff. They went over and above tidying my room, which was very nice of them. However the air conditioning needs cleaning and servicing, the rooms smell of urine when you put it on, given the heat you have to use it. If this could be fixed and new carpets and a lighter decorating scheme/refurb , it could be a really good hotel.

Schönes Hotel im traditionellem Stil

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitsrbeiter, faire Preise bei Getränken und Speisen im Restaurant / Zimmerservice. Sehr grosser Pool. Ein Mietwagen ist auf Grund der Lage sehr zu empfehlen. Genügend kostenlose Parkplätze vorhanden.

Nice hotel far away from sights

While I ejoyed the service and food, I don't recommend this hotel to someone without car. Distances are too far (except to the airport and the grand mosk).

Excellent hôtel à recommander

Arrivés à 6h du matin, super accueil avec possibilité de se reposer dans les fauteuils confortables du hall de réception. Chambre libre vers 09h où nous avons pu nous reposer. La voiture louée nous a permis de nous rendre facilement au centre pour boire de délicieux jus de fruits frais et nous rendre au souq.

Majan Continental Hotel

Hotel has great rooms and not so great rooms. We had to request a different room and were very pleased with the new room. Wifi is not strong in the rooms, but it is in the lobby
