"The staff truly love working there and love the place and feel so connected to it and the town. I’ve stayed many places in Steamboat over the years. Our family loves the town. We go at least 1-2x a year as my wife’s family used to have a place there for 20 years. This place is an absolute gem! Great walkability to everything and the free bus drops you off right outside. The access to skiing is superb with only a 15 min ride to the base. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish I didn’t for the only reason that I’d like it all to myself! I asked for towels, brought them in and told the lady at the desk, they were wet. I wanted to place them. Somewhere myself but she said “this is my job and I love it, hand them to me and I’ll take care of it. You’ll have fresh ones when you get back to your room later.” I can’t imagine better staff. "

"The Rabbit Ears has been a favorite of ours for many years. It's nothing fancy, but the staff is excellent. It is at a perfect location in downtown Steamboat, with a bus stop right next to the motel, for easy transit to the mountain. We recommend a king room with sofa, lots of space!"

"We stayed here one night on our road trip. Lovely clean and modern motel room on a quiet side street a block from the local restaurant options. Well-stocked coffee/tea selection. Super comfortable beds. We didn’t use the top bunk - the mattress is a bit too deep for the guard rails, so our Kid was afraid of rolling out. But the lower bed suited the Kid just fine. We had a slight hiccup during check-in: the provided door code didn’t work. I called the contact number - they called right back and gave me a working code so all was well. My bad for not calling in advance, perhaps? A good night: We’d definitely stay here again."

"Very old out dated property. Smelly cooking on floor 5 but quiet in the room. Not for the family. Maybe a guys weekend? Bathrooms are okay. "

"Our family of 4 absolutely loved this cabin! The location was great….so many shops and restaurants within a few blocks. We enjoyed waking up to the sights and sounds of the creek and spending the evenings on the back porch. The cabin was stocked with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay and the host was very responsive. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, scenic, peaceful place to stay, and we hope it’s available the next time we visit Steamboat Springs! "

"Great location for skiing but very loud at night- lots of sounds from both inside and outside the hotel. Also experienced some weird leaking from the toilet. Hot tub had a great view but was not warm at all "

"Location is fantastic. It’s an original motel that has been spruced up with new paint and updated bathrooms. It has a choppy layout. But staff were great. Location is amazing. Walked right out our door and clipped into the skis. Would do it again for a last minute ski trip like the one we were on. "
