Great location
Lovely cottage and in a very convenient spot, with plenty of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Also close to the train station
Great location for exploring on foot or car.
Beds were so comfy and lovely bedding.
Super nice kitchen with everything we needed and the welcome pack was very appreciated.
The garden area could do with a good weed, some planting and furniture set out ready to use, to be more inviting to sit in.
Parking outside was always available during our stay. Overall great cottage to stay in

Clean and cosy cottage
The cottage had all the facilities we needed. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and wood burner. The location was great for getting around the Cotswolds, especially the arboretum nearby, Stow and Chipping Campden. The main road outside is very busy and used by quite a lot of lorries. Unfortunately, due to road works, there was standing traffic outside, including very early in the morning, which was quite disruptive.

Great location that needs updating
The location of the cottage is wonderful. The property manager was great and very responsive. That being said we would not stay at this location again. The cottage itself is much colder, moldier and uncomfortable than the pictures show. It would really benefit from a facelift and cleaning of the mold from the windows. There are other places in town that are cleaner and warmer for the same price.

3 night stay in the Cotswolds
The cottage is in a great location on the high street and we had no problem parking outside throughout our stay. The property has plenty of character but could do with some attention to certain items which are broken, I highlighted these areas in my return and quickly had a response. The communication with stay Cotswold was very efficient.

Wendle cottage review
Cannot fault the cottage , fantastic location (although the downside is ease of parking , the lay-by at the front of the house is as often in accessible due to cars blocking the space)
The weekend we stayed at the cottage there was a very loud fairground set up along the high street , this was problematic as the noise was loud and went on until late . It seemed like a planned event and would have been useful to have been notified of this event by the rental company as this would have lmpacted our decision to stay in this location

Perfect location
This lovely large cottage is in a perfect location, right on the high street but further down from the bars and restaurants so quieter.
We were there on a very hot day but the cottage stays incredibly cool so it was nice to come back to.
Great kitchen area, clean and although we only used it to make tea, it seemed to have more than you’d need to make meals.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice, both had comfy beds, soft crisp sheets and perfect fluffy towels.
The stairs are more of a climb, nothing like we’d experienced before, but we managed and I’m 60, my daughter 9 months pregnant and we had a three year old and we managed, it became a bit of a laugh in the end. Just be prepared if you don’t like heights.
There were some small maintenance issues which we’ve passed on but nothing that affected our stay.
All in all a lovely place in a perfect location.
Wonderful, delightful gem of a property. Even though it is located on the main road in town, you feel like you are off the beaten path once you are inside the unit. Spacious kitchen, beautiful back terrace all the comfort of home. The narrow twist staircases are definitely something to consider if you have mobility issues. I am pretty agile with good balance, and I had to take my time going up and down the stairs, but certainly Not a deterrent from renting again. I only mention so that people realize the stairs can be tricky.
Moreton in Marsh is a charming town and a great launching pad to explore other neighboring towns. We took a lovely 7 mile walk that connected us to two other towns and didn’t even have to use the bus.

Interesting Cottage
The cottage was warm and clean. It is on the main street of Moreton in Marsh which was both a blessing and a curse. You are close to all the facilities that Moreton has to offer but is also a curse as the first floor bedroom is very noisy. Traffic rumbles through the town both day and night!
The first floor bathroom has a freestanding ball and claw footed bath with a waterfall shower above. Unfortunately this is very difficult to use unless you are very short so we ended up using the upstairs shower .
The off the Road parking place is very useful.
Net curtains would have been useful to the living room as people walk past the window affording you no privacy.
If you are a very sound sleeper this cottage may suit you.

Beautiful Cottage, Excellant
Beautiful little cottage comfortable and homely and excellent location, lovely decor.
Only downsides arrived on 29th Dec for 4 days to see New Year in, and our first time away for New Year, no Xmas decs left, except for a couple of very small garlands which was a little disappointing.
Problem with dimmer light in main bedroom and bedside lights didn’t work in main bedroom. Only one was managed to be fixed during our stay, but maintenance guy helpful & friendly.
Welcome pack disappointing after reading other comments re great items left, we found a packet of biscuits and milk, didn’t even have tea bags. Considering it was New Year and we had paid extra for this a bottle of vino or Prosecco would have been a nice touch.

Mixed thoughts
Overall the setting and location was good.
The cottage was cute and small.
The cleanliness of the kitchen in particular and dirty dishes old in the dishwasher and cutlery tray which wouldn’t clean was not fun!
Staircases are precarious (especiallly with large suitcases) and we are not children or elderly!
We struggled to find the apartment. No street numbers. Had to call a few times to get an explanation on how to find the cottage.
The upstairs bedroom is an odd arrangement. No plugs, bedside tables, light switches.
Parking was touch and go to get in and out of because of others blocking you into your parking / street.

A good location, but a bit loud and dark
We had seven beautiful days in the Cotswolds. This was only partly due to the cottage. The kitchen and the two bedrooms were okay. The beds good and the shower facility completely fine. What made our holiday a bit mad were the cleanliness and the living room. The cleanliness at the beginning was not really sufficient, but there was a bit of help. What could not be changed was the street and the living room. The latter is very dark, certainly pleasant in midsummer, less so in September. The sofa is quite worn-out, actually only possible to sit on with the large number of cushions. One of the only 3 windows is unfortunately equipped with a blind that cannot be opened. The fact that the cars are either stuck in traffic jams in front of the door or thunder noisily through the living room and bedroom could perhaps have been guessed with a little experience. Otherwise, everything was okay, the appliances in the kitchen and the Wi-Fi worked excellently, but it would be helpful to put the extensive folder with instructions and hints on the suitcase table instead of hiding it in the drawer. In any case, we only found it by chance on the last day. You get used to the steep stairs, but it would be necessary to fix the fastening hooks of the upper stairs better, as they are becoming looser and looser.

An excellently located and comfortable cottage with a steep spiral staircase
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in Wendle Cottage. We managed to park for free directly outside the cottage each day. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with quality gadgets, glasses, crockery and cutlery and is great for in-house dining. Despite the chilly weather, the cottage was warm and we did not need to use the log burner in the sitting room. The spiral staircase to the first and second floors is very steep and great care is needed when going up and down but the hand rail/rope and poles give a measure of confidence. Both bathrooms are adequate, although we would have liked to have had a non-slip mat in the first floor bath/shower. The beds are comfortable but the top floor room is an awkward configuration for accommodating the double bed which is two single beds joined, meaning that the person sleeping next to the wall would need to climb over the other person to get out during the night. We found a few things that needed attention and left a note on the kitchen table about these. None of them detracted from our enjoyment of the cottage.
Very cute and comfortable. Close to everything you need.

Wendle Cottage is cozy and cute and perfect for a stay in Moreton-in-Marsh! Highly recommend! The only thing I would say is there are really steep stairs so I would be careful with anyone who has issues with stairs. But this is a great spot! Highly recommend.
A beautifully furnished cottage in the main High Street, handy to the station but we could also see the tents set up on market day, from the front door.
Very cosy but not suitable to everyone as the stairs are a challenge. (We did not attempt to take our bags up to the bedrooms). Perfect if you are agile.

Can't wait to go back!
We had a lovely stay, it was relaxing very comfortable. Interior is within keeping of the cottage property, which made it feel lovely and homely. Kitchen well equipped. Only faults were the radiator in the kitchen you could not turn down due to the nozzle dial broken and slight damp smell in the main bathroom. However everything else was perfect, the stairs are steep but we were prepared by that. We can't wait to revisit, it exceeded our expectations :)

Great high spec property
We had a great time and Wendle Cottage was a great place to stay. It is finished to a high specification that isn’t often seen in holiday properties. Comfortable and well equipped. We were there during a hot period in summer but it stayed nice and cool in the main living areas. Great location although if a light sleeper you may need ear plugs as road noise can be loud in main bedroom if windows open. Also be aware of what the owners state re the staircase as it is tight and steep. All in all a great stay that we’d highly recommend!
Wendle Cottage is convenient, the property manager goes out of his way to help guests with any problems, the cottage itself is old but has a fairly new kitchen. It would have been nice to have a French press as there is only a pod type coffee maker. Other reviews have addressed the staircase and they are correct. It’s very steep and needs the handrails. It’s very close to the major grocery store and train. Would recommend cottage for it’s convenience to all of the Cotswolds.

Sadly it wasn’t the best stay
Lovely cottage but a few area felt a little tired. Both shower heads could do with replacing as water sprays everywhere!
There was a fun fair when we stayed, which had thumping base until 10pm. I would recommend informing guests about this before letting them book. If we had known this, we wouldn’t have booked the cottage, we had a 1 year with us and it didn’t make the most relaxing stay.
It’s also worth noting that the stairs are very steep and dangerous, not baby friendly at all.
