this place was filthy, I dont even know if my room was cleaned, dirty pillows, blankets, dead cockroaches in bathroom, mosquitoes inside bath towels, FILTHY

The property is beautiful. However, it did not have wifi or cable as promised. Also the doors have programmable codes that don't work and the doors can't be locked from the inside. Therefore anyone knowing the door codes can enter the rpoperty even when you are in your room. Not good for safety.

Quaint B&B close to popular wedding venues

We enjoyed our one night stay at HPL. Everything from checking ourselves into the bright and wonderfully decorated, Eleanor room, to the delicious breakfast ready at the time we specified. The room had lots of cute little decorations, locally made soaps and shampoos, Keurig machine with lots coffee and tea, bathrobes, comfy beds. The room has lots of windows and blackout drapes so if light bothers you or wakes you up this room may be too bright for you, even with the blinds drawn. No big deal for us. The grounds are also beautiful and I see why people have rehersal dinners at HPL. Definitely happy with our stay and will stay again if in the area!

Ett annorlunda B&B

Huset är från 1854 med fantastisk atmosfär.2012 gjordes huset om till ett B&B med 4 stora rum med privat badrum,kaffe/te kokare,kylskåp,hårtork,utlåning av härlig tjock vit frottébadrock,AC. På nedre planet stora rum som B&B gästen kan vistas i: vardagsrum med TV,vackert bibliotek i mahogny,frukostrum med underbar utsikt mot trädgården. Fantastiska amerikanska frukostar. Hodge Podge Lodge används mest för att arrangera 40-50 bröllop/år och weekends. Jag var den enda gästen där i 6 dagar. Ägarens policy är att inte gå in i rummen när gästen bor där.Därför städades aldrig mitt rum och efter tre dagar fick jag be om tömning av pedalhinken. Ägaren bor inte själv i huset utan kommer på morgonen för att tillreda frukosten. Vid min ankomst kl 19.30 fanns ingen personal i huset .Ingen info om hur jag skulle komma in i den låsta entrédörren.Jag lyckades hitta en olåst dörr runt huset.Jag har bett ägaren att skicka skriftlig info om hur man kommer in i huset vid ankomst.

Fabulous bed and breakfast.

Excellent service. This bed an breakfast is classic old world charm. With beautiful antique furnishings and the best chef in the world. The breakfast was outstanding. I will stay at no other hotel when in Montgomery Texas. Loved it!
