Full of history, charm and character in the charming Grade 1 listed building! 3rd time I’ve been and will happily becoming again when In Shrewsbury. Close to town, pubs, the river, shops and the city centre. Even Charles Dickens stayed her many MANY years ago!"

"Nice room, quiet and very comfortable room overlooking the car park. Oak Room was very good for supper - staff helpful and excellent food. Gym refurbished - all black and brooding. The only improvement staff wise is the spa staff should be more visible on arrival and not on the iPhone in the back room."

Reasonably priced evening meal - though small portions were huge! Lovely breakfast, with choice from 3 cooked as well as cereals and toast. Lovely stay. "

"This is a little gem of a place with the rooms opposite the pub, they could not do enough for us from making us welcome to excellent food and impeccable service. If you’re looking for a bit of quiet and out of town so noises to a minimum this is ideal and we couldn’t recommend anything better, there was nothing to fault. Thank you to the staff who were amazing, this break was awesome given my situation looking after my mother with dementia so felt so relaxed whilst here, the staff really get to know you so you feel very welcome.
