Location

We came from Colonia by coach and it was a short taxi ride from the bus station. Good location just around the corner from Plaza Independiente. Helpful staff and spacious room.

A good basic hotel not far from ciudad viejo

Uruguay hotel has all the basics covered. Clean, okay breakfast, working WiFi. The bathroom gets a little messy given that shower isn’t separated. The location is very convenient, easy walk from ciudad viejo and rambla. Overall it is on the older side, but it is a good value for the price.

El hotel es bien sencillo, las recepcionistas son sumamente amables. La ubicación esta buena ya que es muy cerca de Plaza Independencia y de la Av. 18 de julio.

Buena relación precio calidad

Buena ubicación, cerca del centro, cuidad vieja y puerto. A 30 cuadras de la estación de micros y 50 cuadras de la playa pocitos, pero se toman micros alli q te dejan muy cerca. La habitación adecuada. El baño es lo q menos gusto, con la ficha casi sobre el inodoro y con poca presión del agua caliente. El desayuno estaba bien, 2 medialunas, 1 tostada, 1 pan negro, jamón y queso, manteca y dulce, junto con café o te libre. Lo malo es q se entra x una escalera muy empinada y larga. No hay ascensor. Complica p subir si se está muy cargado. La atención del personal.muy amable y predispuestos a ayudar. Por el precio estaba más que bien.

Mi estadia en el hotel fue excelente, superando mis expectativas. La habitacion muy confortable, todo muy limpio, con aire acondiconado y frigobar. El desayuno tambien fue muy bueno. La atencion de las recepcionistas excelente, ya que nos orientaron en la ciudad y nos proporcionaron mapa turistico. El hotel queda muy cerca de la Avenida principal y de la ciudad vieja, que se puede ir a pie.

El personal es muy atento, pero es casi lo único positivo del hotel. Mi cuarto no tenía baño ni ventana. La sensación de encierro es muy desagradable. El mobiliario es limitado: el cuarto no tenía ni silla ni una pequeña mesa. Está en la zona céntrica de Montevideo, bien situado si el interés está en esa zona. Bien para pasar una sola noche en una emergencia. No para más.

Satisfatória. A equipe é muito atenciosa e prestativa. O único aspecto que me faltou foi o fato de o banheiro ser compartilhado, todavia já sabia de tal fato no momento da reserva. Excelente preço/benefício.

Zimmer direkt an lauter Straße

Leider war unser Zimmer direkt an einer Haupstrassw. Das wäre nicht so schlimm wenn die Fenster isoliert gewesen wären. Daher mussten wir den permanenten Lärmpegel in Kauf nehmen. Vor der Haustür ist direkt eine Bushaltstelle. Der Lärm war so extrem dass das Zimmer vibriert hat. Schlafen hält sich also in Grenzen. Das Personal spricht nur Spanisch, nicht mal einfaches Basisenglisch. Von daher auch krine große Hilfe...

Una buena opción montevideana

El hotel es modesto, limpio, con personal muy dispuesto y amable. Las habitaciones no tienen ventanas externas (al menos las que yo conocí), pero son cómodas. La construcción tiene más de 140 años, de modo que si tuviera mayor inversión edilicia, podría ser mucho más interesante, pero la experiencia fue muy buena. Cerca del centro de Montevideo y de la Ciudad Vieja.

Run down hotel in central location

Very run down hotel in bad need of renovation. Filthy carpets staiened and soaked with spills for decades. Room seems unrenovated for at keast 50 years. The hotel would be a gem if someone came up with a few millions for renovations. But just to continue doing nothing and inviting guests us not an otion imo.
