Daniela and Giuliano are amazing hosts! This was our 5th time to Montalcino area and we very much enjoyed the farm stay. And it’s a real farm stay- Giuliano and his team working hard to harvest olives. Despite not speaking English and our basic Italian- Google translate helped us figure everything out including use of on site washing machine, purchase of wine and names of the sweet cats on site! They could not have been a sweeter couple. Note you can walk to San Angelo en Colle for restaurants (we did a couple times) but it’s 25 mins uphill through vineyards- so may need to drive for your meals. We also used the small, but very well appointed kitchen to make a few light meals. Some packaged items provided for breakfast. The apartment has soul- terra cotta tiles, marble top dining table, beams on the ceiling. AND THE VIEWS! Lovely place to watch the sunset with a farm cat purring. We look forward to enjoying the wine and oil we shipped home and fondly recalling our time at Il Giardino!
