A converted flour mill from the mid 1800’s with a flowing creek still under it. The restaurant is just as the pictures show, timber framed and pouring with quaint rustic charm. This property is a restaurant first with some hotel rooms and treat it as such, the rooms are tight but quaint and it’s the restaurant for dinner that really gets lively around 7 pm….. breakfast was decent, just ran out of a couple of things. 4 star!

Comfortable room, good meals, friendly service

It seems the hotel expanded their business, and we got a room in another building nearby. Our room was comfortable, everything worked. We went to the original building for dinner and breakfast- both good meals for good prices. Good value for money overall, I would recommend it!

Wonderful hotel with a great restaurant

Wonderful hotel! Our rooms were in a new, adjacent block and were very comfortable and modern. The big bonus is the restaurant. We paid extra for the breakfast but it was well worth the 8 euro - nice, traditional Bavarian fayre and plenty of it! The restaurant is very quaint and still retains a lot of the old mill features. Evening meal was delicious and excellent value - a mix of Italian and Bavarian dishes

I’m a regular at this hotel, frankly since it was new. The quality of the room definitely has gone from bad to worse throughout the years. Drain in the bathroom is always clogged. Hot summer stay is terrible because of no AC. They left the window open so room was full of little flies. I love this place and the restaurant has great food, but the rooms definitely need remodeling.

Im Großen und Ganzen war ich sehr zufrieden, ich hatte nur eine Übernachtung, leider kein Aufzug aber wohl dem Alter und damit verbundenen Denkmalschutz geschuldet. Ich würde jederzeit wieder einchecken

Gegenüber früher verschlechtert

Wir waren zum 3.Mal dort auf der Durchreise nach Südtirol. Diesmal waren wir enttäuscht. Da mit Hund, bekommen wir stets ein Zimmer im nahegelegenen Inselhotel mit Parkplatz vor der Tür. Hatten wir bisher stets ein rel. geräumiges Zimmer nach hinten raus bekamen wir nun ein sehr enges nach vorn raus, zwar mit Balkon, aber bei einer Nacht nutzlos. Traditionell essen wir in der Kunstmühle auch zu Abend. Essen war gut. Meine Frau wollte zum Abschluss noch ein Getränk, das nicht kam, sonst alles ok. Am nächsten Morgen nahmen wir auch dort das Frühstück ein, da es auf Prospekten im Zimmer und an den Tischen im Restaurant für einen günstigen Preis angepriesen wurde. Als ich bezahlen wollte, rief die Wirtin aber einen 1,5fachen Preis fürs Frühstück auf mit der Begründung, die Prospekte seinen alt. Hat mich viel Diskussion gekostet und sie wurde recht unfreundlich, bis sie mit dem ausgeschriebenen Preis einverstanden war. Diesmal sind wir also nicht so zufrieden.

Die Unterbringung war in einem externen Hotel was nicht schlimm war. Das Zimmer war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Parkplätze waren auf dem öffentlich Parkplatz ausreichend vorhanden. Der einzigste Kritikpunkt war das Internet was nicht wirklich nutzbar war. Hier muss dringend nach gebessert werden.

Tolle Unterkunft im Nebengebäude! Mein Zimmer war groß und geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Personal war durchweg sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Mücken in Bayern können sehr fies sein- toll wären Insektennetze an den Fenstern, damit man weiter gut lüften kann.
