Fantastic week in Milton DE

We have stayed in many places around the world - from highway motels to high end hotels and resorts. The Charleston of Milton Inn is possibly the nicest, most comfortable and well appointed place we have ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, gardens and art work to view while here. Also a quick walk to downtown Milton shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Our Milton visit

We LOVE the Charleston of Milton Inn. It is beautiful and comfortable and Richard is a wonderful host! We have stayed here twice and both stays have been perfect! The suite is beautiful and the gardens are lovely. And Milton is a sweet little town with lots to do, and close to the beach.

Great Place to relax!

This was by far the best place that we have stayed! This was definitely a hidden gem, Milton is a nice little town, everyone was very friendly. Many restaurants within walking distance Richard was the best host! We are already planning to visit next summer.

Perfectly appointed Southern Charm

Attached to the owners' home, our suite was super comfortable, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and the owner's artwork. Situated walking-distance to the charming downtown of Milton which offers dining, antiquing, live theater, hiking trails, etc. this home offered us a very satisfying getaway.

The King Charles Suite was very well appointed with every need. The sitting areas and deck were extremely welcoming and comfortable. The bathroom was super spacious. The kitchenette had everything we could ask for or use. The deck was absolutely relaxing and quiet. The owners/hosts knocked it out of the park with the decoration and furniture….it is classy and refined while absolutely comfortable.

Third time’s a charm!

This was our third year staying at the Charleston in Milton, and exactly like our previous two times, our stay was PERFECT! Accommodations are lovely and very clean. The private porch overlooking the beautiful garden is prefect for our morning coffee and evening cocktail. The short walk Into town to good dining is perfect after a long day at the beach.

We loved loved loved our stay in this stunning home. We stayed in the King Charles suite, which was equipped with everything we needed. The private balcony was the perfect spot to sip wine at the end of a long day. The sheets were so nice and comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!

A beautiful stay

My wife and I stayed in Milton to explore the surrounding area. We found the Charleston of Milton Inn, and were immediately charmed by the photos. The reality exceeded our expectations. Richard was a wonderful host, and it’s clear to the see the care and attention that has been put into the inn. Our stay was incredibly comfortable and relaxing, and we hated to leave! If your travels ever take you to Milton, I cannot recommend this inn enough!

Wonderful find!

I am thrilled to have found this gem of a place in a wonderful little town. Such a great vibe here! The rooms here are top notch, high quality and decorated very well. The best of both worlds

We were delighted to stay at The Charleston of Milton Inn. It is a beautifully appointed gem with close proximity to all the area offers. It was a pleasure meeting our host, Richard, who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We could tell immediately that a lot of passion went into creating the inn and developing the incredible gardens, which we enjoyed each morning while sipping hot tea from our own balcony. Heavenly Weekend and Wonderful Hosts

The Charleston Inn of Milton is an elegant yet comfortable retreat. Nestled in the historic town of Milton, the Charleston is an easy walk to local restaurants and the center of town. The house is exquisitely furnished and beautifully appointed with careful attention to details, creating the most relaxing and homey experience. The rooms are spacious, the bed exceptionally comfortable, the kitchen well supplied with traveler’s essentials. To top it off there is a private balcony which is a quiet spot overlooking the gorgeous garden, replete with flowering plants, carved wooden benches and winding paths. Richard is a spectacular host, helpful and charming, his easy presence completes the experience of being well taken care of. I highly recommend the Charleston Inn of Milton!

Our Favorite Place!

This is the second time my husband and I stayed at Richard's amazing suite! Not only have we stayed at The Charleston of Milton Inn once before, we also sent my parents there for a getaway before returning ourselves in March. We found the King Charles Suite to be just as wonderful as our last visit! Not only is the suite beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, Richard has stocked the kitchenette with everything you could need - coffee, cork screw, mugs, wine glasses, tea, plates, utensils. Richard even had a bottle of Pellegrino and cream for the coffee, in addition to several bottles of water in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you, Richard, for another terrific stay in the Inn!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful immaculate home for 3 nights. Every detail was perfection, the suite immaculately kept. Richard, the proprietor, was the friendliest host we have ever encountered. Always available. The grounds of this home are breathtaking. The art on the walls magnificent! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This home cannot be beat. Close to everything yet quiet which is what we wanted. My husband and I hope to be back next year. A beautiful, comfortable retreat!

This property was absolutely gorgeous! It was decorated beautifully with the owner’s own artwork; everything was super clean; and the space was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large with a great shower and oversized countertop to accommodate all my toiletries; the bed was nice and comfy; the large porch was a treat: and Richard thought of every detail - from makeup remover to honey for my tea to bedside clocks with built-in ports for cellphone chargers. The kitchenette was a nice treat too with a mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, bottled water, etc. The grounds were beautifully manicured as well; there was ample parking; and several restaurants and shops within a 10-minute walk. I loved my stay here and would recommend to everyone. I hope to return! Thanks, Richard, for a lovely getaway.
