1 Bed in Great Ayton (oc-h44914)
- A charming retreat for couples, friends and solo travellers, this delightful retreat has been stylishly updated with skylights and modern decor to make a fantastic holiday home for nature lovers, history buffs and fans of the great outdoors. The property is set in the picturesque village of Great Ayton, with a choice of traditional pubs and an array of independent shops within easy reach; the village is also home to the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum. Exploring this spellbinding corner of North Yorkshire, you can follow the Wainstones Circular Walk, or hike up Roseberry Topping (2 miles) to admire the magnificent views. Stokesley (3.5 miles) is a lovely market town with a historic cobbled square and Georgian buildings, or you can head to the coast for a day at Marske-by-the-Sea or Saltburn-by-the-Sea, both within 11 miles.
Stepping inside this enchanting heritage property, the welcoming hallway opens immediately onto a stylishly presented and fully equipped kitchen with ample storage and workspace as well as a handy breakfast bar. Exploring the lovely furnished bolthole further, you will find a bright, cosy lounge with light streaming in via dual-aspect windows and a skylight. Featuring a lovely corner sofa and Smart TV this is an ideal spot for snuggling up in the evening. When it’s time to turn in for the night, head through to the snug bedroom – this room also features skylights alongside generous built-in wardrobes and a beautiful double bed. The accommodation is rounded off with a fresh and invigorating bathroom with a shower over the bath and which also benefits from a skylight in the high, sloping ceiling.
Heading outside, a small courtyard has a bistro table and chairs, offering a quiet spot for a morning coffee as you prepare for a day exploring the glorious expanses of the North York Moors. Off-street parking is available for one car.
