"Initially the front desk gave me keys to a standard room when I booked a suite. After arriving to the standard room, they moved me to a suite but it wasn’t the suite I booked for. The room was handicap accessible and not what I wanted, especially since I wanted a tub and large shower. The room was not thoroughly cleaned. House keep never came to my room to give service. We were scheduled for 2 nights, 3 days. The elevators were not cleaned and the staff was not very helpful. This hotel was remodeled but the service is not worth it. I asked to speak with a manager my entire stay but still left with a bad taste in my mouth."

"Staff is always helpful, friendly, and attentive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I did not get a chance to eat in the restaurant but sometimes they have extra pastries from the breakfast for sale at the desk later and they were delicious!"

"The staff was quick to help us with check in! Our room was cute and the candy bar was a must stop at! The atmosphere and aesthetic of the bar made it so fun to linger around in! The cafe had an amazing barista making the best miel I’ve ever had! Will definitely be back any time we have to be Detroit again!"

"The hotel has a very historical feel to it. I liked that the pool and hot tub had later hours for is to enjoy. The pool area is in need of a remodel. The paint in the pool was peeling, loud dehumidifiers ran while trying to relax, overall needs some maintenance. My husband and I loved the lake view from our room, balcony was a plus even though it was cold outside. Room was quiet and beds were comfy."

"I loved the Graduate! It was my first time in this chain. Fun interior with University of Michigan decorations and touches throughout. The staff was warm and nice and local. Great vibe in the place. The long table through the lobby is a wonderful place to drink coffee, bring a laptop or have a semi-public meeting. Great light and energy in the lobby with lots of places to sit. I enjoyed my room. The bed was terrific and water pressure in the shower was strong. I found the room too dark, TBH. Quite a bit of dark wood. It was springtime with long days but I can only imagine how dark it might be inside during the winter. I used the fitness center on the third floor and found it well stocked and at a cool enough temperature to work out; I recommend it. And l enjoyed the cafe in the lobby as well; bought morning coffee and an egg sandwich each morning. Friendly staff and tasty food. Very handy to have inside the hotel for a rainy day or quick bite to eat. Overall I highly recommend the Graduate in Ann Arbor. I’m considering booking a return visit already!"
