Quiet hostel in a quiet area. The room was clean and good for privacy and sleeping. The day I checked in, almost every toilet was clogged and no solution was offered by staff. This was fixed the second day through the rest of my stay. The rooftop terrace and downstairs kitchen are essentially the only common areas with seating available, and I did not see many people using them. So while this was a great place to save some money and stay in a nice area, there was not a great social aspect that you might hope to find in a hostel.

I booked a room with a private bathroom on Expedia, but when I arrived at the hostel, the staff told me that there are no rooms like that.

This is the best for the money. It feels like a top rated hotel yet it's super cheap. The place is clean and right in the center of Roma. Unbelievable.

They either don't actually exist or sell rooms on hotels.com and don't give you the room. Was turned away after pre paying on hotels.com.

Terrible experience - Worst stay of my life

My stay at this hostel was awful from the very beginning. Check-in was complicated because, despite showing all my booking details, they insisted it wasn’t here. Upon entering the room, there were an incredible number of mosquitoes, a strong musty smell, and visible mold and mildew on the walls. The stairs to the bathroom were unsafe, especially at night. The worst part happened after it rained: the room leaked, soaking all my belongings, including clothes and documents. The staff took no responsibility whatsoever; they didn’t even offer laundry or drying service for the damaged clothes — they simply washed their hands of the matter. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Poor maintenance, unhealthy conditions, and zero commitment to guest care.

Beware!

Room was not similar to any in photos, neither was bathroom. Entire property was dirty, bathroom trash was overflowing and no one addressed it after 18 hours - gross. Budget experience but definitely not worth the discounted stay. Look elsewhere if you want a comfortable night sleep and a clean toilet to use!

Disgusting room. Looked like they had removed everything nice from the advertisement. There was a shared shower and toilet, which were unclean. The water didn't work when I got there, so I couldn't shower, brush my teeth or even use the toilet. The bed was uncomfortable and was squeaking all night. The building itself looked life someone had built a shanty town on top of a house. The stairs were unsafe and to get to my room I literally had to walk on a room. I stayed there for one sleepless night and immediately checked out. Awful

It was my worst experience I have ever had Towels too old and used They lied to me, shower was not private, not too much water By the way I noticed a couple complained about not cleaning the room Talking about Internet use too much poor, in my room nothing at all a about Internet, the only way catching it was going out of my room and standing around the supervisor spot I have the total impression that expeditia not have any clue with whom is making business due to the fact that Condesa hostal offers a poor service to the guests.Shame on expeditia along with condesa hostal.By the few hours that I went around I never saw cleaning people

El lugar es sucio y feo nada que ver con las fotos,la chica de recepción me dijo que no encontraba mi reservación y que no era su problema, que si quería pidiera devolución cuando jamás le solicité algo así solo quería descansar y fue muy grosera, incompetente y muy mala experiencia no recomiendo este lugar para nada, los baños son demasiado sucios batidos y asquerosos

En dos ocasiones que bajé a buscar a la recepcionista no se encontraba nadie, y estuve buscándola y no la encontré. Estuvo lloviendo y las escaleras estaban todas mojadas pues hay un área arriba donde está al aire libre y todos bajaban con los zapatos mojados, no había nadie nunca preocupándose por secar las escaleras o por la limpieza en general, sufrí un resbalón en estas escaleras y unas lesiones musculares graves que me costaron incapacidad laboral y servicios médicos… nunca apareció nadie del hostal. Al intentar entregar la habitación tampoco había nadie en recepción, tenía prisa por tomar un vuelo y yo estaba desesperado Lo que hice es dejar la llave en el escritorio. El problema es que al entrar, me habían pedido mi licencia de conducir como “garantía “ así que se me quedó Mandé a alguien de la CDMX a que me hiciera favor de recogerla y le dijeron que “no la tenían y que me la habían entregado” pero NADIE ME RECIBIÓ LAS LLAVES al entregar la habitación así que no hay manera de que me la hayan regresado. En fin una PÉSIMA experiencia LA PEOR en todas las estancias que he tenido en diversas ciudades Si tienen la oportunidad de reservar aquí DESAPROVECHENLA
