Our room was huge and again not fancy but it was very nice. Would definitely recommend! "

We loved having multiple restaurants to go to dinner at and our favorite was American Country. The beach and pools were beautiful and well kept. The room was updated and very large. "Riu Emerald Bay was an amazing place to visit. The rooms were clean and the staff was polite. We loved the pool and swim-up bars. The restaurants provided a great variety of food and the poolside cafe at Pepe's was really convenient for midday snacks. I would definitely suggest visiting the spa for a massage. The steam room had a wonderfully minty scent. If I had to change anything I would say turn the temperature up in the hot tub. We had a wonderful time from the beginning to end of our trip. "

"Location is perfect, staff is friendly, food options are good, pool is awesome. The hotel folks continuously forced us to take the timeshare property tour (in exchange for boat tour coupon) and that it would not take much time. Ultimately we accepted but it was the worst experience ever when we got there. The guy responsible for the tour was arrogant, condescending, threatening and argumentative. He threw a fit of rage when we told him we want to go back. I was about to call the police/embassy since we felt cornered. I have everything on video. Ultimately, the hotel staff person was kind enough to give us a lift back to the hotel. My advice, NEVER EVER AGREE to get the timeshare tour."
