The Hacienda is beautiful and simple and we enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and it was good value. It’s also very clean and the architecture is stunning.
Lovely spot for a couple of nights stay. The nicest place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Mexico. Beautiful quiet grounds. Good breakfast and dinners, good value. It's a few km outside of town of Izamal so best if you have rental car.
This Hacienda is beautiful. Each room is unique and beautiful and spotlessly clean. The food at the restaurant was very good. It’s only 10 minutes away from the beautiful town of Izamal so the location is perfect if you have a car. We loved this hotel and will definitely be back.
This property is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. I like that it was quiet. It isn’t near downtown Izamal but cabs are cheap about 250 pesos. Only 10 bedrooms available.
My two complaints dinner was very slow. Took over an hour. I wish they would have brought our appetizer and drinks first but they brought everything at once. Second complaint there is only outdoor eating unless you decide to eat in your room in the dining area there were a lot of flies. I understand we were outdoors but it drove me crazy. But seriously don’t let that stop you from going that’s how beautiful this place is!
This is the most unique stay I've ever had. It is a converted Hacienda and the rooms have names, not numbers. We stayed in Poppy, one of the large rooms on the main building. The ceilings must have been 18 feet tall and the rooms are gorgeous.
There is no door between the main room and the restroom; only a curtain. The shower is enormous and beautiful, but the water pressure was low.
The included breakfast was delicious, but this is in the countryside and there are critters flying around. It's also incredibly warm.
There's no parking lot, only a grassy area. You have to leave the road on a side road to get here, so don't turn exactly when the GPS tells you unless you want to drive down a rocky hill.
The air conditioner doesn't keep it cool to American standards. You can use the Jet mode to get a little more air out of it. I also travel with a little USB fan. There is a ceiling fan that helps a little.
We would stay here again. Izamal is a lovely city. This is about 3 mile out of town.
The staff were very friendly. I speak Spanish so I don't know how well they speak English.
The property is just outside of town. It is a perfect little getaway to just get away and relax or just unwind. I highly recommend staying here at this hidden gem. More of a couples place but families welcomed.
Beautiful old Hacienda with very nice pool and restaurant. Gorgeous huge room and AC works great.
Highly recommend this place if you want a real Yucatan experience
The rooms are stunning. Carlos made the stay amazing. A very friendly experience. A must for anyone visiting the area.

Amazing place and we highly recommending it for couple or family vacation. We had few issues: we didn’t have remote from AC and after storm we didn’t have electricity for a day, internet is week. BUT it didn’t ruined our stay, we loved it and we will be back for sure!
The property is beautiful. However I dislike some details . The room bathroom does not have a door and it is separated from bedroom only with a thin courtain. The bed mattress was bad. The AC unit is not enough to cool the room and the fan is very noisy. Restaurant is outdoors, in the patio, and there are no fans to keep the patio fresh. Restaurant did not have available all items mentioned in the menu.
This is a beautiful and historical property meant for rest and relaxation. There are some pros and cons, as with every hotel. The pros are its location just five minutes by road to the town of Izamal and all its great sites, the hotel's beautiful decor that mixes traditional and modern touches, and the friendly staff. The cons are very low water pressure in the shower, somewhat uneventful food choices or taste, and the fact that the front desk closes at 9pm. On this last point, given that it's a small hotel and is located on a lonely road, I would be concerned to be the only guest on the property with nobody to help me with any emergency. Just something to consider.
This could easily be 5 stars but the property maintenence is seriously lacking and the customer service is possibly the worst I have ever encountered. Do not expect a coffee, tea or water before 8am or after 8pm.
