The inside of the rooms is actually very well done and there are even stoves available for cooking if needed. It was also quiet and everything went well.

Aged motel, but with heart.

This motel is near the end of its life. While the owners are doing their best to operate, the buildings are deteriorating far beyond the ability to repair. The price does reflect this, and when budget is a factor, Hat Motel is better than a hostel.

We never had the chance to check in. Check in time is 3 to 10. We got there at 310 and it was locked up and nobody there. We phoned no answer. We went back at 5. Lock and nobody there. We found another motel.

I asked for a non-smoking room, but it was obviously used by smokers. It smelled very strongly of smoke and all of the surfaces were covered in nicotine stains.

Enjoyable experience

I needed a place that was affordable, had kitchen privileges and gave me privacy. I am going through some medical procedures and when I get tired, I need to rest. HAT MOTEL allowed me to do that. The building is old, but the shower was hot, fridge and stove worked. The staff took care of me and assisted me like family would. But they did not ask as many questions as family did. If you want a clean living area that allows you comfort and peace, this is the place. If you are looking for luxury, you wont be happy. Myself, I will be back in the spring. The staff and front desk was kind and helpful. I wish I could have taken them back home with me!!

Ok well the owner resolved a concern very quickly and made arrangements with me on another matter about the stay and it was a very positive experience. If anything about my review seems like it's missing something, it's because Hotels.com sent me this review in Spanish...I'm Canadian, I haven't even mastered French yet... anyways.

I booked on Expedia based on 2 adults, but was told by the property that the 2nd person was an additional $10/night. The room was a non-smoking room, but smelled very strongly of smoke, and the shower had (what I assumed to be) nicotine staining that dripped yellow when wet. Otherwise, the room was clean enough, the property was quiet, and the air conditioner was effective. Would stay here again in a pinch.

The owner was very warm and welcoming. We had a lovely chat when I was checking in, and he gave me the choice of two rooms. I would definitely recommend for a stop over in Med Hat. It was clean and quiet. For the price you can’t beat it!

For an older motel, it was very clean and, the room came with a little kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. I was late arriving and had no problem with that. The owner was waiting for my arrival!

Enjoyed the quality of the kitchen appliances, and the cozzy-nes of the room. The outside of the motes looks rough, yet inside it was warm and comfortable. Bed spreads and towels should be changed though, as their state is beyond expiration date.

It was not safe the manager and staff were not on site to hslp in the night when i was locked out of my room. There was zero staff or assistance and i had to call the police to help me get back into my room
