This beautiful family friendly 4 bedroom home located in Meadview, Arizona within Joshua Tree National Forest, between Lake Mead and the Colorado River. From our home in Meadview you have a view of the back of the Grand Canyon, with many beautiful unique Joshua Trees right on the property. Grand Canyon West (Skywalk) is about 30-40 minutes away. They have many attractions at Skywalk. Walk the glass panels on the Skywalk. Fly over the canyon in a helicopter or on a zipline. Float down the Colorado River on a river tour.
Meadview does not have a grocery store, however there is a small market Meadview Market where you can get meats, produce dairy and frozen foods. They are closed on Tuesday. There is also a Family Dollar and Gas and Grub where you can get staples and some frozen food, milk, eggs and dairy and some produce.
There are 3 places to eat in town. The Boathouse has really good food and a terrific breakfast and Anchor Smokehouse has pizza, most nights a buffet and smoked meats. There is also a sandwich/frozen custard shop called the WaffleCone that has sandwiches, pizza, frozen custard (like ice cream) They are all really good.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much everything you would need to cook a delicious meal. Pots & Pans, dishes, plates, silverware, baking pans etc. Their are a few things in the cabinets, however if you plan to cook, please be prepared with your own food. There is a coffee in the refrigerator. Creamer can be purchased at Family Dollar. (sometimes their is some there if so you are welcome to use it). There are a few spices and I try to keep some Olive Oil on hand for you to use. Also, there is pancake mix and Syrup just in case you decide to cook some breakfast. You are welcome to use anything that is there.
There is plenty of parking so your welcome to bring your boat or RV.
There is a gas BBQ on the patio. We Enjoy the Sunset as we barbeque on the patio.
There is a firepit and some firewood in the yard that you are free to use. Please be respectful to the neighbors.

I suggest this is the best place to stay if you are planning to visit the west rim. The host is exceptionally good. The rooms were super clean . I highly recommend this place.
Has everything you need, beautiful view, very clean and well stocked. Having laundry available is great especially if you’re spending time at the lake. Would recommend staying here
This house was a nice option for our visit to Hoover Dam / Grand Canyon. It was very nicely furnished and accommodating for our family of 9. We chose the hottest
time of the year, but the house was a great respite from the heat!
I loved this unique setting. We enjoyed the outside and inside of this home and felt very comfortable there.
The host thought of everything andwas very helpful.
Loved this property! Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and furniture and all the little extras (coffee, snacks, etc.) made the place feel so relaxing. Rebecca is a very responsive host and went above and beyond to make our stay and visit with local family memorable. We found our new Meadview home for future family visits...we will definitely be back!
We love everything about the house and the town of Meadview. The people were so kind. We experienced the Waffle cone, the Boathouse cafe and the market. It was so much fun. We went to the Grand Canyon and walked the Skywalk and also went horseback riding at the Western Ranch. It was definitely one of our best vacations yet and it wouldn't have been as much fun if we had not had the pleasure of staying at your house. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!!
Very well appointed, comfortable property. Kitchen has everything you need. Coffee and creamer was supplied by the host as well as snacks on the counter. Do bring non-perishables with you, no large grocery stores nearby.
Close to skywalk and zip lines. An hour and half from Hoover Dam and Lake Mead sightseeing tour. Beautiful sunset view from the side of the house. Everything we wanted.
Host was very responsive. Made our stay very comfortable.
My family and I rented this property at the beginning of April for our 1st trip to the Grand Canyon. The home was very much everything we could have needed or asked for! We ate at each of the local spots and were not disappointed by anything we ordered! Meadview was a great host although please expect a QUIET time! It is out there a bit! But we loved it and would recommend this home for sure. Rebecca was on point with availability and we had a really good time! Thank you!
I've stayed at several different VRBO locations and this is one of the best! My family of four had everything that we needed. We stayed here to be close to the Grand Canyon West, do some kayaking on the Colorado River and escape the hustle and bustle of Vegas. It met all of our needs and gave us a chance to relax and spread out. The home is very clean and well maintained. And I can't say enough about the host. She was extremely prepared with all of the essentials as well as recommendations about places to eat, places to see off the beaten path and general knowledge about the area. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
We enjoyed our time at the property until the AC went out during the " historic heat wave" and we moved to a hotel in Boulder City. Owners did everything they could, but it didn't work out. When we arrived there we saw a sign above the thermostat saying that the AC was old and not to set below 75, which we didn't. I wish they would've been proactive about the AC and replaced it sooner. Owners did refund us, but it was very stressful during a time when we just wanted to be enjoying our aniversario trip. Property is beautiful and the mountains are stunning. We really liked it there.
