This is an aesthetically pretty property. The pool area and beach setup is nice with a tiny bar right on the beach. I stayed for only one night because it is closer to the airport than Dakar is.

Beautiful area on the beach. Grounds are so nice and the pool is great too. Beach is lively in the evening/late afternoon and very quiet during the day. A really wonderful resort. Staff are so helpful and polite.

This hotel is a gem. Beautiful setting, great beach and pool, friendly staff. A special mention to Bala and Pape for making this stay unforgettable. The rooms could use a little maintenance but that is only a detail. I can strongly recommend as I will definitely return.

I Love this place. It’s so heavenly. This was my second time staying there. Housekeeping does such a great job and the staff are amazing. Definitely book it if you are looking for a lay back getaway.

I have been staying at the Royam for work travel since 2012. It never disappoints. The staff are warm and friendly. The food just keeps getting better and better. The landscaping is immaculate and beautiful. If the Royam isn't available, I move my work travel dates. It is world-class.

Very well nice hotel area with a lot of flowers / green / trees. The villas are in a good condition and everything worked quite well. There were enough sun beds for everyone at the beach and at the pool. Staff could hardly speak any English and even when speaking French they were not really welcoming / friendly. Service at Dinner was highly depending on the actual waiter who was responsible for your table. Overall I can recommend this hotel for a stay in Saly, nevertheless service quality should be improved!

I loved the unique individual cabin style accommodation, it gave a feeling that we were in our own apartment. However the one that we were given didn't have a mosquito net and we didn't report it until the last day. We were therefore bitten throughout the stay. There was some renovations going on in the next room. They were careful not to disturb us early in the morning which was good but there was waste and rubbish left outside our cabin which gave it a neglected appearance. The wider public areas were fantastic. We went half board. Breakfast great. Dinner - when there was a buffet great. Sometimes there was a set menu, choice was limited on these nights I ate more bread so I wasn't hungry. The beach was super, it was attached to the property, really clean and well maintained. The loungers and the parasols were all clean and there was enough of them for everyone. The staff and entertainment were really top and helpful. We took a walk around outside the hotel. It is surrounded by security to prevent beggars from harassing the tourists. As soon as you leave this area the local area shows that this area is very deprived, there is no activity in the immediate vicinity outside the hotel. I would absolutely stay again but would check that the room had a mosquito net before unpacking my bags.

Brilliant choice for a relaxing beach holiday. Half board is great value. Staff are friendly and efficient. Local taxis offer good rates for safari trip to nearby nature reserve and other 1/2 day visits.
