Charming countryside retreat

A charming guesthouse in a tranquil, rural location. Offering amazing views of the area, the pool and patios are perfect for unwinding. Their food was fantastic and the staff hospitable.

The owners are very friendly and help you with any and everything. They have been in the area for decades. The breakfast and dinner options were 5 star and the service was amazing. The location and views are simply stunning.

This place is a wonderful experience. Rob and his wife have done something special on top of this mountain and we feel fortunate to have been allowed to stay. Big rooms, Great views, sunset fire, amazing dinner, lovely spot for the family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Ashbourne! Rob was a wonderful host who made us feel right at home. The property was beautiful, the views were special and dinner and breakfast were quite good. Rob was very helpful giving us options for local things to do after our check out.

Hier stimmt wirklich alles! Die Anlage und die unterschiedlichen Zimmer sind wunderschön und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet! Aber vor allem sind es die herzlichen und zuvorkommenden Menschen, die dort arbeiten und den Unterschied machen Das Abendessen ist fabelhaft. Es ist uns wirklich schwer gefallen, nach vier Nächten abzureisen.

Superbe endroit. Difficile d’accès car le GPS ne conduit pas à cet endroit. Le propriétaire est venu nous chercher à 3 kilomètres de là. Pas d’internet dans les chambres, seulement dans les espaces communs.

Ashbourne is a true gem. There is a gorgeous spot for sundowners and enjoying the magnificent views of the Sabie valley . Very hospitable hosts .

I strongly urge every traveler heading to this part of the world, to Hazyview, White River, Kruger, to stay at the Ashbourne. This was our first time there and we were in love with the vibe of the place, the surrounding area, the foliage, and our rooms were big, spacious, open, and quiet, with a lovely aesthetic. It felt like an elegant "Out of Africa" experience. Highly recommend a bottle of wine at sundowners overlooking the valley and the mountains. The breakfast was hearty, good fare. Delicious.

Absolutely amazing experience. Loved the property and room decoration. Swimming pool maintained excellently and water was refreshing. Rooms and dining areas decorated with excellent taste. Bottom line, felt like home in Africa. The views from the hill, where the property is located, are unique. Woke up early in the morning to see the sunrise with a cup of coffee and enjoyed the sunset with a glass of wine. Awesome! did not want to leave. The staff are loving, yes you read right loving and kind.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in der Nähe von Hazyview. Wir haben für zwei Nächte im Honeymoon Cottage gewohnt. Diese kleine Steinhütte besteht aus einem großen Schlafzimmer, einer Küche und einem Bad. Ebenso hat diese Hütte einen eignen kleinen Pool und eine großzügige Terrasse mit Grillplatz, Sonnenliegen und Gartentisch. Neben der Möglichkeit der Selbstversorgung an der Unterkunft gibt es Frühstück und ebenfalls auch ein Dinner im Haupthaus. Vor allem das Dinner inklusive Wein war hervorragend. Die Gastegeber, Dawne und Rob, haben uns freundlich empfangen und mit ausgiebigen Tips für die Umgebung versorgt. Auch wenn es so aussieht als wäre nichts in der Umgebung, befinden sich mehrere Restraurants in 3km Entfernung und sind gut zu erreichen.

Beautiful country escape

Everything was amazing! Phenomenal view at sunset over a valley, relaxing fire pit at night, incredible dinner and dining room, fantastic breakfast. Great service as well. We stayed in the family lodge which had two bedrooms, a small kitchen and a private dipping pool and outdoor grill. Just beautiful.

They promised sunsets, wine, and mountains and they delivered. Rob greeted us with a bottle of wine. We stayed for two nights. We self catered the first night. Breakfast was excellent both days! Especially considering the power was out. Bhegi worked miracles in the kitchen with out power. The room was very clean and well appointed. We were treated like family. I would definitely go back! Jan

Etape de charme

C'était notre deuxième séjour l'Ashbourne Country Escape étant une étape idéale sur le chemin du Kruger. Nous en avons profité pour visiter Blyde Canyon. Nous y sommes revenus parce que l'endroit est charmant et authentique, ambiance familiale et bon enfant (mais tout de même avec l'argenterie pour le petit déjeuner!). Les chambres sont claires et calmes. Et l'environnement verdoyant. Nous y reviendrons!

The perfect stop in Hazyview

My brother and I had a such a wonderful experience staying at Ashbourne on our way to Kruger. The owners were lovely and very accommodating, and the place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The rooms are vast and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. 10/10 I'd consider coming back even without Kruger being so close.
