Great little gem of a place, whether you're RVing or camping. We stayed in the smaller cabins and have absolutely no complaints. Staff was friendly and helpful and the other guests were respectful. They even had events and fun things to do throughout the week... great for families or couples.

Beautiful scenery and kind staff. Quiet. I loved to see the springs especially early in the morning. But the cabins are old eventhough they're working hard to maintain.

The Convict Spring and the Suwannee River. Very rustic cabin. Sparse amenities, no blankets to cuddle up with. Only one lounge chair and no sofa in the room. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Over all a decent place to stay off the beaten path with access to the Suwannee River. RV park as well.

Kid friendly resort

We were meeting up with family in the area and wanted to try something different other than a hotel room. We are campers and wanted to check the place out. We stayed in Room 16. Yes, it's dated but the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The biggest improvement that I would suggest is blackout curtains as there was a light right outside our room and no matter what time you woke up it looked like it was morning. The resort has an excellent food stand were they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we had was good. There are lots of activities for the kids and adults. There's a very large rec room behind the office with lots of games. The resort is right on the Suwannee River for all you nature lovers. And don't forget to check out Convict Spring.

Overall, enjoyable!

Mostly we enjoyed our time. I gave it 4 stars because I felt like walking up & down the loft was unsafe. The railing didn't go all the way up. We had to figure out creative ways to get up & down. I also thought the "dog park" was lame. The bigger area only had 2 pieces of equipment and it was listed as an "agility course". There wasn't any shade. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would love to return. The view from our room was beautiful and staff cared about their jobs.

Love SRR!!!

We spent the weekend at SRR. Im in love with this place! Now its no 5 star resort. This a rustic place the cabin are older. Its liking taking a step back in time. Which part why I loved it so much. We were in the a frame. The stairs were rough because im handicap but I prepared and knew they would be rough for me. Preparation was worth it because the view and the porch were pure heaven. The cabin was a little dated, some weak spots and unlevel floors, but was able to move around. The kids loved the loft. We made sure they were safe on the stair/ladder going up. Convict springs was literally right out the front door across a small field. The spring was beautiful. The kids swam so much the were sore the next day. The family is a little small but we had fun. The staff were so nice! The highlight of everything was meeting Pinky one their beautiful pigeons!!!! The birding here is top notch especially one the river. We saw 3 red shoulder hawks and heard numerous great horned owls. Also the gulf sturgeon jumping is so cool! We will be back! I want to canoe and fish next time!!!
