The soul of this Hostel is called Irma

I stayed in Hostal Zabala for a week while attending a studies program. I hope the hostel knows the true JEWEL of a hardworking and kind worker the manager, Irma, is. Thanks to Irma that hostel has soul, is a place you can rest, be well taken care of in an environment that feels so homey, comfortable and respectful. I had never stayed in a place where one person not only did an excellent job in having things done with excellency, but also made you feel at home. Thank you Irma for your professionalism and care.

Hostel staff and cleaning ladies are all very nice. Although they don't speak English, we still can communicate by body gestures for what I needed. Hostel room is very small, walls are thin yes, can hear neighbor noise. But room is clean, although tiny, still have every basic things I need. It is pretty noisy at night may be downstairs are busy restaurants. Location is great at downstairs already have two supermarkets. Overall, it is pretty safe and comfy for a single lady traveler to stay at there. Will recommend for any budget travelers too.

El personal es lo más destacado del alojamiento, tuvieron la diferencia de permitirme el checking cerca de la medianoche ya que mi vuelo llegaba tarde. Luego del checkout tuvieron la cortesía de dejarme en consigna el equipaje hasta irme al aeropuerto. El alojamiento se encuentra cercano a los puntos de atracción más relevantes. La habitación para 1 persona era correcta en sus dimensiones y el aseo era diario. La ducha algo incómoda para alguien corpulento. Vuelvo a destacar la atención del personal.

Decepcionante

Queda mucho por mejorar. El timbre no funciona, tuvimos que llamar al teléfono de la recepción para poder entrar y dejar las maletas. Después nos entregaron las llaves, pero la puerta del hostal abría con algo de dificultad. El primer día le reclamamos a la jefa/encargada que la estufa no funcionaba, esta nos aseguró que sí lo hacía (cuando no era cierto) y no hizo nada para arreglar la situación. Suena ridículo, pero tuvimos que poner el secador del pelo a funcionar para poder calentarnos, ya que hacía demasiado frío. En la segunda noche, en la habitación dejó de funcionar el wifi y no teníamos ni cobertura, y al mencionarlo nos dijeron que sólo había cobertura al lado de la ventana (que se encuentra en la ducha). Al dejar una sudadera en las perchas que entregan, esta se destiñó por la zona del cuello, seguramente porque la percha habría sido limpiada con algún producto inadecuado. Me han estropeado una prenda de ropa prácticamente nueva. Por otro lado, es cierto que la zona es bastante céntrica y que la habitación se encontraba limpia. La señora que se encarga de la limpieza ha sido muy amable en todo momento. La habitación es pequeña y con poca iluminación. Respecto al baño, la puerta cerraba algo mal y la presión de la ducha era bajita, pero por el precio tampoco esperábamos mucho más. Imprescindible traer productos de higiene personal propios.

Tu lugar para conocer Madrid.

Excelente ubicación para los que quieran conocer Madrid. La habitación es pequeña pero confortable para el que la utilice para descansar y tomar un baño. Tiene wi-fi. La atención es excelente, personas muy amables que hacen más agradable la estancia. La limpieza es magnífica. En resumen muy buen alojamiento, recomendable!

Sehr hilfsbereites Personal (muchos gracias ANNA), leider nur auf spanisch,wenig englissch, aber mit Hände/Gesten und viel Herz, fand man immer eine Lösung! Zentral gelegen, neben Metro, privat WC-und Bad, gutes Preis-Leistungsvehältnis.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix et très bien situé. Chambre petite,mais on s’y attendait car c’était conforme aux photos et au prix payé et c’était très propre. Il fait chaud dans la chambre, mais on avait un petit ventilateur. Il n’y avait pas de séchoir à cheveux. À notre arrivée, nous avons dû attendre une vingtaine de minutes car il n’y avait personne pour nous accueillir.
